The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Post-credits scenes

Watched the movie yesterday. There is no post credit scene.

No appearances of Eddie or Mary Jane whatsoever.

My local cinema also confirmed in its review that there's absolutely no post credit scene whatsoever.

 Thanks for the clarification fellas.

Absolutely nothing after the credits have rolled. The Norman Osborn head story is complete rubbish.

About a third of the way through the scrolling credits, a burst of electricity cuts the credits to black. Then the X-Men logo pops up (Cerebro's door), followed by a brief 1-2 min long scene from Days of Future Past in which Mystique infiltrates an army barracks and rescues some mutants.

The strangest thing was that the scene had absolutely nothing to do with TASM2. DOFP isn't even from the same studio either....

Wtf? Why would they show a trailer/featurette/scene from an unrelated movie during the middle of the credits?

lol. Makes for some good internet-ing

Is the Norman decapitated head scene then going to be saved as a deleted scene or did Sony and Webb scrap it entirely?

Yeah, I was thrown off by the lack of a post credit scene and a trailer for DoFP being shown mid-credits for some reason. I even asked the staff at the cinema if that was a mistake who radio'd their boss to double check (which then made me feel foolish lol).

Perhaps the scene being cut is a blessing in disguise? I can't say I could ever warm up to the head in the jar idea myself.

I have an idea of why it was cut.

Someone opened the jar unintentionally early in a desperate search for some jam for their sandwich and now Normie's head has defrosted and has went a bit 'off'? :oldrazz:

More along the lines of He's not Dead. but i do like your off jam theory, at some point Spidey's gonna have Goblin on toast ;)

Despite there being no after credits scene I believe the mid-credits electrical was clearly alluding to Electro's return.

Can anyone confirm if the scene with
the man in the shadows passing by all the vaults, revealing OsCorp's tech and the S6
is still in there? Basically what we see in the trailers.

Yep that scene is still in there. although he walks past Ock's Tentacles, Vulture's Wings and the Mech Rhino suit

Well, Avi reads these boards I think. He might have seen the reactions of the [blackout]Norman head thing.[/blackout]

But now people will complain that [BLACKOUT]Norman died before he even did anything.[/BLACKOUT] Unless [BLACKOUT]they pull some trick like never showing the dead body.[/BLACKOUT]

They never show a dead body In fact, the "Breaking News" is a report of confirmation by Oscorp that Norman is dead.

Weird. There were supposed to be more chambers. Thanks.

Anything about the Laundry Sheriff in post-credits?

Human-bean jam on toast!

That and the numerous interviews where Foxx has stated "electricity doesn't die" or something like that. I can only hope he gets much better material to play with if he returns in Sinister Six or a Spidey sequel.

Isn't Norman still laying dead in the bed when the nurses doctors come in and scan it?

Oscorp employees? Norman is afterall the master of manipulation

Am I the only who sees the real gravity of what they might be implying? So is the whole thing about the end credits having [blackout]a scene/trailer from DOFP inserted within the credits [/blackout] legit?

Because if so that is BIG. Even though it may seem totally unrelated to TASM2 for now isn't [blackout]Avi still involved with producing the X-men films[/blackout]? Now the plot really thickens...could we be seeing the first hints of a [blackout] competing MCU? As far as Sony and Fox, Fox has handled the home video distribution of the last 2 Bond films so they have a working relationship. [/blackout] These are potentially epic implications.

Same here. Had nothing to do with TASM 2. I was totally confused.

According to Variety, it seems like a deal was made between Fox and Sony for Sony to advertise DOFP in the credits for free as payment for Fox allowing Webb out of a contract with them (stemming from 500 Days of Summer) such that he could direct ASM2.

hopefully the two will interact because i always loved to see a scene with hugh and andrew

What is weird though is that Webb mentioned
Rhino is supposed to look like it's not from Oscorp, however in the film we find out that it indeed is from Oscorp! If so, why does he have red commie stars on his suit?

Did you guys talk about
the mask that is seen during the end credit montage? Seems to confirm Chameleon as part of the S6, as other gimmicks during the montage were Vulture's wings, Ock's tentacles and Goblin's glider. Did I miss anything? Couldn't really make out Rhino's suit.
