I wonder how they'll adapt this show for Power Rangers when the time comes.

Great to see the suits in non grainy footage.

I would love to see how Power Rangers would handle the transformation into past Rangers.

Watched the first episode of Shinkenger, damn, so much better than the American version.

It's probably because the samurai and lord motif makes sense in Japan. Power Rangers prides itself in being equal and teamwork while Shinkenger has made it perfectly clear that a lord and his servants can't (or shouldn't) be equal.

I wonder if they'll use a lot of the Sentai footage, or make most of it themselves. Afterall, we started with the Zyurangers, so there are a few generations of Rangers that a lot of people have never seen before and one got skipped during the Mighty Morphin era.

Would be totally weird to see all those old Sentai Rangers, that no one is used to seeing.

But can Power Rangers afford not mostly using Sentai footage? It would definitely raise production costs significantly if they did.

Didn't they do a lot of their own footage already during Mighty Morphin? They skipped the Dairangers and turned the Kakurangers into Alien Rangers. So we had 3 seasons of Zyurangers.

Where can I find a Green Ranger suit for Halloween this year?

I was him for Halloween '94 and want to do it this year but more epic.

Like with an actual helmet and shield.

I did find my old dragonknivewhistle in storage the other day haha...

Maybe you should have a look at this thread. I found it a while ago, when I was looking for Ranger cosplay. Somewhere in there a person shows how to make the Green Ranger shield. There might be something on helmets too.

This afternoon was Samurai's second episode "Deal with a Nighlok"

Right now it's more of "We'll get to it when we get to it"

Also Gokaiger's first episode is subbed. PM me for torrent or megaupload link.

Saw the first episode of Gokaiger this past weekend, and it surpassed my high expectation for this series already; it's amazing. From the epic battle in the intro that involved all the sentais together, to the terrific weapon-swapping when Gokaigers were engaged in the fight, and lastly to the way they henshin into Goranger, Shinkenger, and Magiranger all in one scene. I doubt they can keep it up but I'm already looking forward to the rest of the series already.

I think there may be a few hurdles to adapt it to the Power Rangers. Firstly, does Saban have the licensing rights for the series pre-Zyuranger (which is the series they adapt as MMPR)? There's no way for them to edit out all the sentais that they may not have the rights for. Also, in Saban's continuity you have a character like Tommy who played multiple roles across several series, like MMPR (Green Ranger), Zeo (Red Ranger) and Dino Thunder (Black Ranger). But in the epic sentai battle, you can clearly see that all these roles are in fact separate persona. How can they explain that Tommy has split himself into several places at once?

The origin episodes of Samurais will be a separate story arc later in the season.

:wow:

A few thoughts on Gokaiger:
The PR adaptation will be the 20th season, so there's plenty of reason for anniversary shenanigans on this side of the pond as well. On top of that, Saban is 2 seasons behind, so that Gokaiger will be finished by the time they get started on the adaptation. With that in mind, they could probably jumble things around in the story kinda like they did back in season 3. That legend battle from ep1? Maybe do that later, like towards the end. Really set it up. Plus, PR has always been heavier with continuity than Sentai usually is, so they've got that going for them in this case.

I look forward to seeing what kind of story they come up with for that season.

My two cents for today.
