Power Rangers 3.0

Please tell me that someone was trying to fix it by taking it apart on purpose.....:csad:

You'd have to be a dog or baby to do that kind of serious damage.

People are just tearing into ShinkenRed. Here's a mod to make him much more flexible.

Shifting to "Power Ranger's Samurai" episode 3

"Day off"

I'm hearing that this cast and season are at least 5 steps back from what RPM established in terms of acting and execution.

Bulk and Spike recreated a scene from the original opening credits where bulk and skull are introduced

Yosemite Sam type voice for monster

Giant Moogers

If Power ranger's samurai had bothered to do the proper introduction of the Samurai Megazord the giant moogers would have appeared earlier.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9gpkvvo5oMM

But they skipped introductions and are now using footage from episode 4 of Shinkenger.

The longer they delay the proper introductions the weirder things will look if they use the footage in say Episode 15. Ofcourse they could just use it as unseen flashback footage.

I heard a rumor that Saban will combine the first true episodes of PR Samurai together as a TV movie, but we haven't heard anything official from Saban or Nick yet. Seriously, for people who have never watched Shinkenger, are you still confused by how the Samurai Rangers got together in the first place? And why were the four Rangers chosen by Jayden & Mentor Jii in the first place? It seems to me that Saban made a big mistake to drop the audience in the latter episodes with assumption that they can explain the origin on a much later date.

I think it was Nick that aired episode 3 on accident.

It was an accident? If that's the case, then maybe Nick doesn't give a damn about this new Power Rangers series, because no network would f**k up on a new series like that if they want it to succeed.

Glad I'm holding off on Samurai for a while.

On episode 10 of Shinkenger and that show is rocking my ****ing world right now.

I think Cartoon Network has on occasion aired episodes out of order. Maybe someone can correct me, but it could have been Justice League.

Yeah, Shinkenger is awesome. It's my favorite sentai series. :word:

I don't think it's a problem if they air the eps out of order later on, but you don't do that to a new show with new premise and many new characters. If I hadn't watched Shinkenger, I won't have any idea what was going on in their debut episode.

Im pretty curious as to how Saban will or would adapt Gokaiger. Especially here in the U.S it started with Mighty Morphin and over there in started back in the late 70's. And ive seen some Gokaiger footage where they have all the rangers fighting together, and i dont see how that would make sense in the U.S seeing as we would know about 16 teams of rangers, it just wouldnt make sense. And so that would mean there'd be a lot more editing, a lot more of shooting their own footage. The costs would be through the roof. Would they take that chance? I do admit from what ive seen of Gokaiger so far, that it can be one of the best power ranger series', it has a lot of potential and it could be a very dark and gritty series, well i mean more mature. There's just no way you could adapt this and try and make it campy, atleast with what Saban is used to doing. I would say it'd be something similar to In Space, it was a gritty more intense series. But Samurai is gonna take 2 seasons/years, and im thinking the same for Goseiger, so im pretty sure in four years there would be another series after Gokaiger, so should they skip Gokaiger all together? Who knows.

Well, there's the obvious solution of simply not adapting Gokaiger; made especially possible since Power Rangers are now two seasons behind Super Sentai. Though, I think Saban would definitely try not to miss a theme as marketable to (US) kids as pirates.

As for Gokaiger being dark, we've seen from Samurai that the current production team doesn't really do dark and serious.

I think the question will be if Saban decides to adapt Gokaiger, will Toei license all the rights of the previous SS and not just up to Zyuranger (which became the original MMPR)? If Saban doesn't have all the rights, they'll have to do alot of creative and even drastic cuts to edit out all the pre-Zyuranger footage. However, if Saban gets all the rights up to Goranger, how will they explain those older sentais that the American audience have no clue about?

You guys aren't thinking fourth dimensionally!

Not using the pre-Zyuranger footage and refilming the war would be a waste of money and perfectly usable footage.
Just say that they are teams from other planets, problem solved. The Alien, Space and Galaxy Rangers aren't earth based teams anyway, bringing in even more teams to help repel the invasion is a good thing, it establishes right from the start that these villains are not just a thread to earth, the fight takes place here, but they are actually at war with the entire galaxy and need the ranger's keys to conquer it.

I don't understand this "They never appeared in PR, dump the footage" attitude. Isn't making the footage work one of the points of adapting sentai in the first place?

They'll just make up names for the series that aired pre zyuranger. The different teams could be aliens from other worlds.

How do they explain that Tommy (who was Green & White Ranger in MMPR, Red Ranger in Zeo, and Black in Dino Thunder) is in four places at once during the Legends battle?

I was thinking it would be cool if they used the "Justice League Unlimited" approach.

Some new threat, to massive for a single group of Rangers to face, is threatening the universe on a C2D level. An entity gathers Rangers from across the universe and reactivates de-powered Rangers, to form a massive Ranger armada to repeal the threat.

They could have a huge base in space or on a planet somewhere; they're all sent out on various missions across the galaxy to deal with the new villains. You wouldn't even have to show them demorphed that much either. You could just get some of the actors to do voice-overs and maybe a brief cameo appearance here and there.

I'm sure some past Rangers would come back for multiple guests appearances, the main crew featured would be the Bucaneer Rangers though. I think a lot of the series would have to be american footage and heavily edited Sentai. Pre-Zyu Ranger Rangers could be explained away as new Rangers from other planets as someone mentioned. Female versions of previously male Rangers could also be explained away as new Rangers too, kind of a reach, but I think that would suffice.

All Tommy's incarnations...well...I thought you could say they were new characters too...all except the Green Ranger, I'd have that be Tommy's clone brought back from Colonial Angel Grove.

It'd just be too complicated to adapt and make Gokaiger make sense. There are several people that portray more then one ranger and in different teams. Plus the rangers that came before MMPR are just there. I'd say by then you just go to the series after Gokaiger. But i do think if they were to adapt this series it'd have to be a little more grittier, i'd say something along the lines of In Space. I mean you cant make the fact Earth would be taken over, the pirates are rather reluctant to even to help and past rangers have been destroyed campy. It has to be a little gritty and more serious. But yeah i would like to see Gokaiger adapted for sure, its all down to what Saban wants to do. It would seem really trick to get done, but if they dont mind spending extra money adapt it. By then there will be atleast 2 other series' you can adapt

How do they explain that Tommy (who was Green & White Ranger in MMPR, Red Ranger in Zeo, and Black in Dino Thunder) is in four places at once during the Legends battle?

The power could be passed to other people. Also anticipating another question, "Forever Red" and "Once a Ranger" in "Operation" showed that the MMPR power's can still be accessed.

For what it's worth, i'll just enjoy this scene for what it's worth and not nitpick the continuity issues and details.

[YT]2FttCpsYzOo[/YT]

It sucks all the fun out of it if we nitpick the awesomeness of the scene.

For Sentai, there are ranger's that are suppose to be DEAD in that battle(Dragon Ranger/MMPR Green Ranger) but they are there.

And if Saban can afford(Which he most likely can) to fund and film his own legend war with just 20 teams, more power to him.

They've got two years to work out the kinks and I doubt Saban will pass up Gokaiger. It's a gold mine in merchandise re-releases.

Yeah, I didn't think about that. I read that the Black Condor of Jetman was also killed too. In a way, I'm glad to see that these sentai heroes weren't dead after all.

If Saban is willing to fund and shoot their own Legends war scene like they did for the cockpit scene in PR Samurai, good luck to them.

Ok I have been running with the idea for a while, contemplating a story, but the Green Coin is on Earth. It was reformed and given to the Clone of Tommy in Season 2 (or 3, I don't remember) off MMPR, Tom Oliver. Tom turned good, and stayed in the past of Angel Grove. So why couldn't a descendant of Tom be given the Green Power coin as a family treasure and the descendant become the Green Ranger, even if for that one bit of massive battle footage.

Well, the most obvious solution for Gokaiger would be to say that it's the Ranger powers themselves - as opposed to the individual humans who used them - who had gathered across time and space, took part and were eventually scattered during the legendary battle.

I had an other idea for adapting Gokaiger...

What if they were a dark team of Power Rangers who were chosen from around the universe and trained to wipe out and assimilate the powers of Ranger teams throughout the Galaxy.

Then their "mentor" double crosses them and they find out they were just pawns in a much larger and darker scheme. They decide to keep all the powers they've assimilated and use it for personal gain.

A force of good finds them (maybe an undead Zordon) and basically "blackmails" them into using the powers they've stolen to fight the villains they stole them for in the first place. Through using past Rangers powers, they about the legacy of the many Rangers that have existed and what it means to be a Power Ranger.

First episode:

Scene opens up with past Rangers walking together, in a secluded area on Earth, with Tommy and other Red Rangers at the forefront...

Then we see five shadowy figures in the distance, moving in unison, towards the armada of Rangers...it's the Pirate Rangers...

A huge un-morphed showdown ensues between the Pirate Rangers and the league of Power Rangers...eventually everybody morphs...an even bigger battle ensues...

The Pirate Rangers beat them all and steal their powers leaving them battered on the field...end scene.

It wasn't an accident. I was at the premiere and they showed that episode. I talked with the Saban people and they said they wanted to start later with everything established and jump into all the action. The origin episodes will be a separate story arc that comes later.

I just watched 'The Foreign Samurai' and it bothered me that it took a whole episode for Takeru to learn how to turn his giant ass sword into a gun, then Ryunosuke does it no problem his first try :/

Turning the Rekka Daizantou into a gun was easy but Takeru was mastering the kabuto disc since it was incredibly powerful.

Damn I really want those Figuarts Shinkenger figures. I will be on the hunt for those at Anime Expo this year for sure.

The Gokaiger's visited the Magiranger/Mystic force area today

Gokaiger's third ending theme brings us from 2001 to now

OH man, Gokaiger is so awesome for just the two episodes released. I know they have a tendency to edit the footage and all, but I don't see Gokaiger getting adapted to a Ranger series. The footage that would be used is actually quite violent in some areas. I mean they don't have to say people die, but like the monster blasting buildings apart and such its hard not to think that.
Maybe it is just me since I only now started watching Sentai, but I find it interesting they refer to the Sentai Power Keys as Ranger Keys. It screams Power rangers at me every time I hear it.
