Power Rangers 3.0

Also just watched the second episode of RPM, Dillion is ****awesome. I hope he doesn't just become boring as soon as he becomes a Ranger as to not overshadow the red ranger.

No, he doesn't. There's a pivotal plot element in the second half of the season that involves Dillon and Tenaya. There's definitely more to the character, and it's fun to see his character grow. All the other Rangers get some focus, but Dillon is the pivotal one.

I wish Saban and Nick would quit fooling around and start airing MMPR through RPM on Nicktoons. I want more people to see RPM, since Disney treated it like a bastard step-child when they aired it on ABC.

Well out of RPM and Gokaiger, I've actually enjoyed RPM more so far. Which I didn't expect too. I thought Super Sentai would ruin power rangers for me. I have absolutely no idea why the team are racing inspired, it's kinda distracting because it doesn't fit at all. But it's a lot story heavier whereas Gokaiger seems to be less about story and more about lore. Gokaiger is almost like Power Rangers Wiki - The Series. xD

I heard a rumor in a ranger forum that the Goseiger vs Shinkenger's DVD will be available for rental next week. If that is true, then maybe we will finally get to see it online soon after its release. I can't wait to see it, even if it's raw.

RPM and Lost Galaxy I'd say are the most drastically different from their sentai counterparts in great ways, and exceed them.

I would love if Saban gave the Goseiger adaption the "Lost Galaxy" treatment, but seems unlikely now.

Lost Galaxy! 'Nostalgiaing' hard! Guess I should give that a download as well. Power Rangers overload! It's really getting back into something that was such a big part of my childhood. And discovering the Japanese originals.

Gokaiger's summer movie will apparently be epic.

The Japanese film distributor Toei announced during its 2011 lineup press conference on Wednesday that it will release a film tentatively titled Super Sentai 35-Saku Kinen Sakuhin on May 21. The film will assemble 199 heroes from every team in the live-action special-effects Super Sentai franchise — from the original 1975-1977 Himitsu Sentai Goranger to this year's Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger. (Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger will launch next month in Japan as the 35th entry in the longrunning franchise.) In addition to the 199 heroes, the May 21 film will feature all of the giant robots in the franchise.

From Hyper Hobby.

"The 5 Goseigers(2010 team), with their powers, appears before the Gokaigers.
Black Cross revives from hell in order to take revenge on the Super Sentai teams.

199 Heroes will appear in this Legend War. However, 182 Sentai Heroes + the 5 Gokaigers does not equate to 199. Who could the remaining heroes be!?"

Rumor is that the battle from episode 1 of gokaiger will be expanded

RUMOR: 35th Anniversary Movie to be Gokaiger Episode 0?

It seems the movie debuting on May 21st will serve as the prologue to Gokaiger. It's said the movie is 80 minutes, and will have a longer version of the Legend Taisen than the one that will be found in the season opener.

This seems to be a very similar approach taken by Double actually, moreso than Decade. More news as it comes. TAKE WITH A GRAIN OF SALT, PLEASE hehe.

An 80 minute version of the Legend War? Sign me up! I really did want to see it in more detail, I swear we barely saw any of the rangers actually do anything other than wave their weapons around. Also cheers for the wallpaper, it's awesome.

A full-featured movie based on the Legends War? That sounds epic! I'd like to see how all the giant robos/megazords will be factored into this movie. I hope we will get to see how the sentai teams were able to work together, like we saw the red senseis of Kakuranger and Hurricanger team up during that battle in the beginning of Gokaiger's debut episode.

I just saw an unboxing from CSToys and they got some new Gokaiger items. I don't remember when they're gonna go up on the site though.

Imagine if every Zord all combined into this huge, planet sized megazord? Awesome!

Also Teneya (sp?) 7 in RPM is really really hawt.

Breaking news out of Japan. An 8.8 earthquake has hit various parts of Japan.

Hope the cast and crew of Gokaiger are okay. As expected tomorrow's episode 5 will be pushed back to March 20th.

What a catastrophe. I feel terrible for the people in Japan having to experience such a powerful earthquake. I'm disappointed that Gokaiger will be postponed, simply because I really wanted to see Jasmine in ep 5, although I understand the decision to do so. Right now entertainment is the last thing on people's mind in Japan after such a destruction happen, and it will probably take at least a year to fully recover, if ever.

From CSToys in Japan:

Dear Everyone,

Thank you for caring about us and we are ok since we are located in the southern part of Japan and the most of damages are in the northern part. We hear many people suffered from this earthquake and we certainly worry about more to hear about the impacts of this.

I'm saddened I can't watch Sentai since they won't bring it here

Gokaiger crew all fine.

Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger
Ryota Ozawa who plays Captain Marvelous/GokaiRed in the series posted in his blog if everyone is alright and worries about the show’s staff and crew and tells his followers to never let their guard down and be safe.

Ichimichi Mao who plays Luka Milfy/GokaiYellow mentions about the earthquake and that everyone should be safe. Yui Koike who plays Ahim de Famille/GokaiPink, based on how understand the Google translation it seems that her representative is posting the blog entry on her behalf and announces that events related to her are canceled.

As for Kazuki Shimizu who plays Don Dogoier/GokaiGreen and Yuki Yamada who plays Joe Gibken/GokaiBlue, their respective blog entries are dated last March 6th and December 26, 2010 respectively. Let’s just wait for further news regarding their safety.

Koichi Sakamoto stunt coordinator for Power Ranger's and sometimes Kamen Rider episodes says he's fine.

I believe episode 5 and 6 of Gokaiger will be his first time directing sentai episodes which I find odd.

Look out for Power Ranger nods in the Dekaranger episodes he's directing

http://henshinjustice.com/2011/03/12/koichi-sends-word-from-japan/

He just wanted us all to know that he and his family are okay and that he’s working on a new episode of Gokaiger!! He also wants us to know that we’ll be able to see his latest work soon enough, as he directed Episodes 5 and 6 of Gokaiger! He also says to keep an eye out in Episode 5 for some winks to the Power Ranger fans out there.

This probably won't make me that popular but I thought I'd watch a nostalgia causing Power Rangers series. So I checked out the two part opening episode of Lost Galaxy and honestly, it made Power Rangers Samurai look good. I've seen so many good things about Lost Galaxy and I remember so many good things, but it was bad, really bad. Especially the scene when Mike dies, that was downright laughable.

I really hope they make the RPM/Samurai team-up. PRS needs a kick in the ass.

On that note, I wonder if fan response will lead PRS to adopt a darker tone in the second half.

I was able to snag a Mobirates off of AmiAmi and just in time too. I think I grabbed the second-to-last one on their site.

A part of me really wants to get a morpher, for old times sake. But which series still have regularly made morphers (as in still in stock everywhere) and actually well made?

Old morphers are usually discontinued after the show ends. Your best bet is EBay or message boards. The only morpher out in stores is most likely just the Samuraizer.

The Power morpher or dino buckler go for 100 to 200 dollars if in mint condition
