Power Rangers 4.0 - Part 1

So apparently, base don the rushed disappointment that was Legendary Battle, there will be an hour and fifteen minute extended version coming on Nicktoons on Monday night. Looks like 10 pm central time on my TV.

Yeah, that mad e no sense to me. If they had used the Dragon Dagger instead of Saba and flashed the Green Ranger helmet. It would have made more sense.

I think the implication is he has all he powers somehow. Technically the Green powers survived via the Tommy clone, the original while survived via Tommy never lost them, they just upgraded to Ninja powers (the thundezords were destroyed though),he still had Zeo, and Dino Thunder powers. It is why during the Legendary Battle you only see Green, and not Zeo Red, or DT Black, etc.

Damage still done though. I look forward to Linkara ripping it to bits in future

I haven't watched it yet, but after I do I'm going to do my MEGA COUNTDOWN and rank all the Power Rangers seasons! I honestly can't wait to do it!

Ok, I finally got to watch "Legendary Battle" and you guys were right on a lot of things. That battle was WAY too short, both for show purposes and logic purposes. There were some good things in the episode, but overall I agree it could've been a lot better. Check out my review below to read my full thoughts.

As I mentioned, an hour and fifteen minute cut (well, I'd guess likely an hour cut with commercials factored in) will be premiering on Nicktoons on Monday. So while it won't fix all of SMF's mistakes, at least it might wrap things up a little bit better.

Oh dear god, this finale was just...

Thoughts on this:
So Lord Zedd's reaction pretty much sums up what I have to say about the episode.

As for what happens moving forward, I think with the way the finale left things that means that this team up, should it happen in Dino Charge, could in fact have the Super Megaforce Rangers in Legendary Mode. Thoughts on this?

Crap, My free preview of Nicktoons will be over by the time they show this & they were going to have a marathon of select past Power Rangers seasons/episodes leading up to it.:csad: No mention of an extended version of Super Megaforce except that they will be showing the last 2 episodes back to back.

As far as the White Ranger powers go I thought Tommy and the other Rangers lost their power when the Thunder Megazord and Tiger Megazord were destroyed. That's why they had go on the ninja quest and get their new Ninja power coins and Zords, and they were also destroyed

Maybe Tommy & everybody else had their powers restored when the guys in the Operation Overdrive team up did ? Could have been a universal thing

If they even dare to consider this, there will be pain. The right thing to do on such an occasion is to hit them. In the face. With a stick. That's on fire.

No, in all seriousness, if they don't bring back at least Jason (or Rocky depending which line-up they use), I'm done. **** up 1 reunion, fine, but don't dare to screw up a reunion with the original rangers in a very central role.

I'm sure Austin St. John (Jason), Walter Jones (Zack), Johnny Yong Bosch (Adam), Steve Cardenas (Rocky) and Karan Ashley (Aisha) would be willing to reprise their roles. Even Amy Jo Johnson (Kimberly) might want to do it, seeing how she's finally accepted her Power Ranger past and openly said she'd like to do a cameo in the upcoming movie. The only problem is David Yost (Billy). But if they can convince him to do this, there's nothing in their way to do a proper reunion. Oh and I'm sure Jason David Frank (Tommy) will show up. Not necessarily as a Ranger, but it would be unique to see him interact with both the team he started his Ranger-carreer with AND the team he mentored himself (Dino Thunder). MAKE THIS HAPPEN SABAN!

Those Dino charge suits really look crappy, especially compared to the mighty morphin and dino Thunder ones.

Austin St. John is back in America and doing lots of conventions. considering they could do his team up and completely ignore Jason David Frank for once, I'd love this. Bring ASJ and the original cast back (except use Aisha because they'd have to have a yellow), and this would truly be the anniversary special we wanted, not what SMF turned out to be.

After the cock-up that was the Legendary Battle, I truly don't have faith in Saban Brands to plan any further reunions. Even as Saban Entertainment, they burned many a bridge and done so again with the 20th Anniversary.

At this point, I'd accept a Five-ish Doctors-esque film. That'll give us the Anniversary present this weekend's episode failed to be.

I don't think I'll be able to watch the extended cut as I don't have nicktoons. If someone finds it online post a link here and I'll check it out!

That's be fun!

So are they purposely avoiding the Disney seasons? I'm sure they could have gotten of couple of people from those seasons to show up for that finale.

They did not even mention Operation Overdrive from the group roll call did they ?

Seems that way

I dn't think Saban was, but Jonathan Tzachor (sp?), the producer who just left, was quoted at one point saying that he didn't enjoy the Disney seasons and would call them non-canon. Obviously this didn't happen, but he was clearly not a fan.

Jungle Fury was Disney and they had Jayden on one of the episodes. And Ninja Storm was featured in the final battle prominently.

Underwhelming, but I did not hate it. For the kind of build up it got, I believe we were led to anticipate a lot more. 20 episodes was just not enough and the lack of cameos during the season just added insult to injury. Maybe the extended cut special might ease the pain a little, but it is what it is I guess.
I've heard that between the 2 seasons of Dino Charge we're getting 51 episodes, hopefully this is true.
