Just came across this teaser poster

is it just called THING. Being a prequel, it hasn't earned the article 'THE' yet?
lmao.i wish it was called...
"thang".
And I really did laugh. Seriously though I think that this movie is just going to be another A Nightmare on Elm Street remake/prequel.Thank god someone laughed. I dont usually find my jokes all that funny...but I was ****ing rolling with that one.
If they promised a travesty of cinema I wouldn't have had a problem but well...they didn't.^ I hope not....but you're probably right. I honestly lost a lot of faith after that one. We were promised so much....but none, and I mean NONE of it was true.

The filmmakers are going to promise they understood the appeal of the first film and promise the movie is really serious and great and then it's going to come out, get terrible reviews, open decently then fall off the face of the earth.
Winstead: Its a true prequel. So if youve seen the original and if youre familiar with it there going to be things that stand out that will make you go Oh. Now that makes sense why that happened in the original and then it sort of goes back and explains certain things, especially about the Norwegian base that you see in the original film. Thats all kind of explained in this like how you find a dead body and then you find out who that guy is. It also matches up directly. In the end, well seamlessly go into the original and so you can watch them back-to-back and theyll match up perfectly. For people who havent seen the original, it stands alone as a great piece of science-fiction-horror-action and hopefully that will really connect with people who dont know anything about the John Carpenter version but I think it will work for both kind of people.
Winstead: I think its very similar in pacing and tone. Some of the actors were talking about how it starts off as a drama, kind of goes into a horror film, kind of goes into a sci-fi film, and then kind of goes into an action film at the end. It slowly builds into being bigger and bigger with its momentum. It takes awhile for things to really start kicking in. I mean you get time to get to know the characters and also time for that paranoia to grow, which is the really important thing. Just not knowing who is a thing and who isnt and who you can trust and who you cant. So before it all starts coming out and people start dying all over the place you need that suspense to build and I think thats all really in this film as well.

"We're big fans of the original." they always say that.
It's great.Never seen Slither. Had ero interest in it when it came out. Maybe it was because I was too young to care. But I still remember the footage and thought it looks bad.
