This is actually one of the scenes I'm most curious about, as most reviews have been saying how good the effects are in the flashback as the two are meeting up with Jean. Some say they don't know if it's CG or makeup, or a hybrid of the two. Anyone that's seen it, is it that impressive an f/x feat?

Some say they look like they are both cast "of the polar express" and some say best CG in the movie.
What do you think?

Cast of 'Polar Express'? That's a huge exageration*.
From what I've seen though the effect isnt quite perfect it isn't far off either. More than good enough imo, and a better idea than trying to cast younger lookalikes (which seldom works) in the roles.

*It seems these days with any CGI effects you always get some smart@ss's feel the need to sneer at them, and usually exagerate with ill-fitting examples to support their complaints.

I think Prof. X looks the same but Magneto looks like WIlly Wonka...Without the hat ofcourse :D

Homo sapiens are really gross, homo sapiens I hate the most.

But the thing is, Patrick Stewart doesn't really look like he has aged much in the past 20 years lol I mean compare him on TNG to X-Men, he pretty much looks the same, except maybe some sagging skin lol The man has aged well, imo

Let me say first that I despise CGI with a passion. I am the sneering smart@ss that wobbly spoke of. I tell you all this, so that you will understand my full meaning: IT LOOKS GREAT.
