Prometheus - Part 3

Oh, that was in response to Asgard. I don't think the planet in Prometheus is the same one (LV426) from Alien. I thought I heard Lindelof or someone say that. But like i said, I could be wrong.

Looks like the same craft that the Derelict was that's for sure.

I just assumed it was when we see the Derelict with what looks to be the space jockey or its suit with the exploded abdomen.

I wonder what awoke the creative genius hibernating in Ridley Scott.

I think it comes down to the Space Jockey. You listen to the various commentary tracks for Alien, and it's clear Ridley has a great fascination with it. I can only imagine that he's wanted to make this movie, in one form or another, for a while now, but probably couldn't since Alien became kind of a big franchise for Fox for a while and they probably didn't want to rock that boat too much.

He had to wait until Fox pretty much sank the entire thing for him to bring it back afloat.

In the shot of someone, I think Fassbender, sitting up in bed with his hands on his head, you can totally see that he's not alone in that bed. There's another pair of legs there. :awesome:

Hmm then again it's Fassbender. Even as a droid he'll probably find a way to get laid.

Notice that logo on the rearview monitor. It is not a Weyland Yutani vehicle, but just Weyland Corporation one. Also, the camera shows that the vehicle is going backwards at full speed towards the alien chamber with the weird containers. Edit: Or maybe that's the cargo bay.

Did not know androids can experience orgasms...

If we get a sex scene with Noomi or preferably Theron, a smile is brought to my face.

Yoooooo maaaan, I just ****** the hottest girl yooo!

Oh Rly?

I think Ridley said what we saw in Alien was a suit of some kind.
the eyes on the helmet dont look like human eyes. the space between the eyes is to big .so the alien in the space suit was alien looking.

maybe this alien standing next to the space chair is the alien that the statue is based of. the statue is a human face.

What I dig about the trailer is the feeling of terror it invokes without actually showing you what it is that is provoking such a feeling. Nicely done by Mr Scott.

That shot towards the end of Shaw screaming please. I hope nothing.......unnatural is being done to her. I've seen that kind of **** before in the Species franchise and I was left traumatised. :oldrazz:

The alien standing next to the Space Jockey chair doesn't look like he has a normal facial structure. It looks statue-esque, and his eyes look almost like they extend further to the side than normal human eyes, kind of like the eyes of a grey would. It could just be the dark lighting, but I'm left wondering if the eyes of the Jockey are similar to human eyes at all.

EDIT: And it almost looks like he isn't wearing a suit, but that's his actual body, especially the way it seems to grow into his hands, which aren't covered.

But here's the thing: *if* that's supposed to be a space jockey, *and/or* a crewman who seems to be evolving into one, that means that space jockeys are definitely human, for all intents and practical purposes.

And maybe that's the whole point of the movie: they went out to space to look for aliens and clues to our own evolution, and found out that the aliens are: ......us.

/mind blown
if the alien standing next to the chair is a mutated crew member then this is in the middle or end of the movie. since the crew member will get infected in the first act.

but in the first act the prometheus crew goes inside a room with a human statue. which means that the connection to humans started before the prometheus crew got there. plus there is a dead alien next to the statue.

now of course we could say that a previous spaceship crew got to that planet bla bla bla. lazy writting. if they are trying to explain the space jockey then the twist can not just be that he is human from the past.

someone created the alien xenomorph. and the story is about humans stealing something.
