See the difference is that in Alien they were pretty much space truckers where as in Prometheus they are scientists finding out a discovery. You can forgive some of the cast for looking like "above average" people in a sense.
As a scientist....:lmao:

We joke that the good-looking people who wander into our lab never scientists, but sales reps. "He's too hot to be a scientist!" :funny:

I'm surprised they have TV spots already. June is still pretty far away!

In that new TV Spot, at 0:23, you can see one of "The Engineers" (SJ) on the left walking towards David. That shot gives us a very good look at how tall they really are. And they are big, especially compared to David, who is actually standing on that platform.

I can't believe they gave away the climax of the film in the trailer.

Do you guys think the under suit of the SJ is another biomech suit or his actual skin? and did you noticed in the trailer the scene were he's rising slowly he has the ribs on the outside design that the xenomorphs have.

yo dawg, we heard you like suits, so we put a suit in your suit so you can space jockey while you space jockey.

Oh, so you've read the script, have you? Is the movie as awesome as the trailers make it out to be? Did Ridley Scott vindicate us all?

Whatever you do, try not to give away any details. I really don't want to spoil the movie for myself.

/sarcasm :o

Was there a fresh TV spot with new footage?

you know how enticing this movie is?

I stayed and watched the advertisement for it before an unrelated youtube video

I like how the trailer starts out so optimistic(An ancient civilization? eager scientists?)

And then the crap hits the fan

"Take us back to earth!"

They did?

They ram Prometheus into the alien derelict and it crashes. If that's not the climax of the film then I don't know what is. Either way, it's a big spoiler, even for those who are familiar with the Alien films.

This movie deserves the publicity and if it succeeds or exceeds at the Box Office...it will be very satisfying. Especially if the film is great!

I saw the trailer in front of The Hunger Games at the IMAX, and it looks phenomenal. But the guys in back of us had no idea what it was when it started, but by the time it ended one of them was almost shouting "Holy ****, this is Aliens!!!"

Someone else in the theater shouted "Where's Sigourney Weaver?!" :funny:

That trailer and Avengers got the biggest reactions from the audience.

They've been showing a new t.v spot with some new footage for Prometheus. It wasn't any of the ones released online either.

This one that was released yesterday.

A bit of new footage.

Thanks, some cool extra footage of someone in a retro sci fi helmet with visor and what looks like an aerial battle between the Prometheus and one of the Jockey's ships.

So after watching the trailer several times for the past few minutes I have come to one minor conclusion.
Whatever that the Fassbender android is messing with (the hologram of the galaxy) as he looks in awe. That is the exact same room that we later see the actual Space Jockey climb into the chair after it comes out of the floor.

I don't really want to overly spoil myself, but it leads to my one question.
Obviously crew members are going to have things happen to them to be altered somehow. Have a majority of us been speculating that a human is going to fully turn transform into a SJ? And will be our fossilized pilot in Alien?

Yes, I think the trailers pretty much give away the fact that Prometheus seems to ram the derelict to crash it, but I seriously doubt that's the end/climax. In fact, I'd put it at midpoint. With the second half of the movie being about the fact that the surviving crew are now completely screwed, **** out of luck with no way home, and are now going to have to fight like hell just to stay alive on LV-426.

So do they crash their ship into the Jockey's ship to stop it from going to Earth? That is what it looks like to me in the tv spots.
