then let me correct myself again. i'm looking more in the console RPGs like: rogue galaxy, final fantasy series, etc.

aka more of a japanese RPG. Eternal Sonata comes out next week. Theres a demo for that on the PSN. You may also want to try out Valkyria Chronicles which is a strategic RPG kind of like Final Fantasy Tactics. A demo for that is on the EU store. You might also want to try out Folklore which is more of an action RPG like Zelda

Thanks. I saw that Disgaea did have good reviews so I might pick that up. Also, everyone loved FF tactics so I'll also look into Valkryia Chronicles. Folklore sucked. The artwork was fantastic and so was the story, the chich was hot too but gameplay was horrifying.

Gamespot is wrong. Go to any of the major retail sites (Gamestop, Best Buy, Gamecrazy, etc...) and there isnt even a listing for the PS3 version. You'll only find the 360 version. In fact the only retail site I found with info on it was Amazon and that has it listed as April 1, 2009 for the PS3 version. The game is a timed exclusive on the 360.

Just checked the official Last Remnant website, th 360 release is Nov. 20, PS3 is TBA. Let's hope it's a little sooner than April.

There's a new Valkyria Chronicles preview on 1UP. They say its the best Japanese RPG on the PS3. The game is looking good and comes out this week. Its also getting pretty good reviews

Last Remnant is getting bad reviews on the 360. Most are in the 6 range. Looks like its not worth checking out when it comes to the PS3. Is Square-Enix capable of making a good RPG outside of FF anymore? It seems as if they are pooling all their good resources into the FF XIII games and quickly releasing subpar games in the meantime.

We'll just have to wait and see. From what I understand the original 360 (or was it the PC version?)release of Alone in the Dark had a lot of problems that garnered it some poor reviews. Apparently the publisher listened to the complaints, and fixed the problems for the PS 3 release. The reviews for that version were much better.
