The thing is, it all comes down to the writing. It could be both funny and light while also dramatic. If done well, it could be brilliant.
No, introducing Woody as some random dude and having Shawn and Gus build a relationship with him over this season to the point that he's practically another regular is brilliant by this show's standards. Revealing him to be a sociopathic killer would be lame. It'd be as heavy-handed and out of place as the first half of season 3, which I found to be one of the worst stretches in the series because it was so overly emotional and dramatic.

Personally, I think the best thing they could do for Mr. Yin is to have another big-name guest star play him/her. Maybe even another Brat Pack star. It'd give those who want it the recognizability factor while avoiding any overwrought twists with established characters, and we'd probably get a whole slew of new Breakfast Club references out of it.

Well, they did already have Judd Nelson guest star once...

Nah, they gotta go truly big for this one. I'm talking full-on Emilio Estevez or Molly Ringwald.

Woody is the dude in the morgue right? I need to catch up on the reruns. Just waiting for that complete series DVD set.

Psych is planning a Twin Peaks-inspired episode that will feature stars from the cult series.

Sheryl Lee, who played both Laura and Maddy, and Sherilyn Fenn, who played Audrey, will join the previously announced Dana Ashbrook in a fall episode, according to Entertainment Weekly. The three will play residents of a Northern California town called Dual Spires that has been "rocked by the death of a high school student."

Other Twin Peaks alums appearing in the episode include Catherine Coulson, aka "the Log Lady"; Ray Wise (Leland), who is reprising a role he played during Psych's fourth season; Lenny Von Dohlen (Harold); and Robyn Lively (Lana). Psych star James Roday is directing.

Oh, that is gonna be insanely awesome. I suppose it's too much to hope that they could still nab a big whale like Kyle McLachlan or even David Lynch himself, but still awesome. :hehe:

Good episode tonight. Seems like Shawn and Jules will get together in the next half.

Yeah, that was crazy. I loved how the painting came inbetween them. I hope Richard plays a factor in the fall season as well, it's kind of awesome that they have a millionaire (or billionaire?) friend helping them out.

I definitely hope they get together. Otherwise I'm gonna start to hate Jules for how massively unfair she's being to Declan.

Gus' face when he realized something had happened between Shawn and Jules at the end was hilarious. :)

Declan is awesome. I hope he's a recurring character. I love how Shawn and Gus could possibly have access to technology with him around in the continuing episodes.

Solid episode. They balance serious with comedy very well.

And new episodes in November??!! WOOO HOOO! Didn't expect that.

I spell pysch wrong too all the time, although that shouldn't surprise people.

Anyone a member of Club Psych? I am, via my facebook account. The prizes and the challenges should be back very soon...although you need a crap load of points to get a season dvd. Like 14,000. Only two they still have on there is 50 points for watching a full show of Psych, and like 25 or so for another video. The prizes and other challenges which get you points should be back closer to Nov 10th I guess.

Does anyone remember the episode where they had the super extended theme?

Um...was it this season or last? I am waiting on Psych having a complete series DVD set or being in reruns on like Sleuth before watching older eppies, so I don't know.

The episode with the super-extended theme was the episode with the two old guys: 'Viagra Falls,' I believe.

Im rewatching Seasons 1-4 on Netflix instant stream (Awesome)

In rewatching the Yin episode I noticed that even the colors are muted until after the rescues. I didnt even notice it the first time. Started tearing up when [BLACKOUT]Mary died[/BLACKOUT]. Didnt do that the first time
