Although I liked American Gangster, most of material that the movie was based on was false. Still, I thought it was a very good crime thriller.

Well you know, with these ''Based on A True Story'' movies, with that sentence alone the filmmakers aren't saying it is exactly how it has happened, I for one, do not accept it as absolute truth of any kind but merely an entertaining movie, fiction that may have been inspired by real events.

I wasn't criticizing the quality of the film. Just the disappointment at how little time Denzel and Crowe spent on screen.

Especially after how they advertised the film. I mean, they had some brilliant looking trailers.

Red Hamilton(Jason Clarke) waiting outside of bank.
Dillinger, Pierpont(Wenham),Van Meter(Dorff)and Makley(Christian Stolte) wearing bullet proof vests, carrying machine guns and large bags of cash come out of the bank.
Hamilton starts driving off in a dark blue Nash.
Pierpont and Makley in the back and Van Meter and Dillinger jump on the running boards. Dillinger fires off a few shots.
Van Meter and Dillinger jump into the car, Van Meter in the front, Dillinger in the back.
They make their getaway with no casualties.
