Quentin Tarantino's Once Upon a Time in Hollywood

And your point being?

Tarantino didn't think this scene needed a stunt performer....it obviously did because she lost control of the car and she crashed.....he disregarded the actress's concerns about driving the car....he ignored the stunt coordinator's concerns about her driving the car....and eventually he told the stunt coordinator that on the day she crashed that there would be no stunts that day so not to come in to work, then he puts her in the car and has her do the stunt that the professional said she shouldn't do. So the point is....he is a dick.

On IMDB it says that the upcoming film by Quentin stars Margot Robbie & Leonardo diCaprio. Interesting... I hope it's something really good! Whatever it is, expect a lot of women feet in it! :woot:

But I really look forward to his next project, because he has some really cool ideas!

Brad Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio to Star in Quentin Tarantino's Sharon Tate Drama

Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio are reuniting with Quentin Tarantino to star in the filmmakers latest feature, titled Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Sony Pictures announced.

Tarantino describes it as “a story that takes place in Los Angeles in 1969, at the height of hippy Hollywood. The two lead characters are Rick Dalton (Leonardo DiCaprio), former star of a western TV series, and his longtime stunt double Cliff Booth (Brad Pitt). Both are struggling to make it in a Hollywood they don’t recognize anymore. But Rick has a very famous next-door neighbor...Sharon Tate.”

The film will be released worldwide on August 9, 2019.

Sounds great. Now Margot for Sharon Tate and we're set.

It's about that time.

Really looking forward to Brad and Leo throwing some QT dialogue at each other.

Not even the most blatant Sergio Leone homage Tarantino has done :oldrazz:

The cast certainly intrigues me; I love Pitt and Dicaprio. And Margot would be awesome as well.

But I don't know... I feel like the Sharon Tate murder and Charles Manson has been done soooo many times that I worry that there might not be much that even someone as talented as Tarantino could bring to the table. It's gotten to the point where that horrible incident doesn't even feel real anymore; the way it's been glamorized and fetishized over the years, it feels like it was a movie itself.

But I believe in Quentin and I've loved most of his movies so hopefully he's got something amazing cooked up here.

The Tate murder is not the focus of the story. If anything, she will be seen as a tragic/compassionate person she was. Quentin is far more obsessed with showing the movie making within the movie set in hollywood at that time.

Guess we'll see. But I'm sure the murder will factor into it. I'm just going by the way that description was written. The mention of Tate is clearly intended to set off a lightbulb so the reader thinks, "Ooooohhhh... murder!"

I wonder if this will have some spaghetti western elements in it (like Kill Bill or Inglorious Basterds did).

Leo and especially Pitt are meh sometimes, but Tarantino has gotten good roles out of both of them. I'm still iffy on how appropriate the subject matter is for a Tarantino movie though.

Or he can go all out IB and murder Manson and Tate lives. But from other insiders on the script, her murder is not the main focus. This is the closest script of his to Pulp Fiction again.

My understanding is that Margot is still up for Tate and that QT has met with a number of actors for other smaller parts and now that the main roles have been cast those smaller parts should come together shortly
