Quentin Tarantino's Once Upon a Time in Hollywood

Without coming off crude, I thought Reynolds was...you know, just about dead? Isn't he in really awful health about now? Guy looked like a skeleton last TV interview I saw him in.

Well, the fact that he aint dead is a cause for celebration, man. lol

I'm still sad to see Gene Hackman retire and he never working with Scorsese, QT, PTA, Fincher etc.

Reynolds has been trying to stage a comeback, so it's great to see him possibly getting a role here. I can't wait to see who all ultimately winds up appearing in this.

Timothy Olyphant Negotiating Lead Role In Quentin Tarantino’s ‘Once Upon A Time In Hollywood’

Timothy Olyphant is negotiating to co-star in Once Upon A Time In Hollywood, the film Quentin Tarantino wrote and directed and is prepping for production in Los Angeles for Sony Pictures. I am not sure whether Olyphant will play a fictional or real character, but he will join Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt, Margot Robbie, Burt Reynolds, Tim Roth, Kurt Russell and Michael Madsen in a Pulp Fiction-like tapestry that covers a group of characters in LA during the summer of 1969, up to the moment where Charles Manson’s followers murdered Sharon Tate and others in a shocking night of savagery.

My god, all the casting for this movie has me salivating. QT always has good casts, but this seems like it could really be something special.

If Reynolds is getting the Pacino role then that sucks. If it's for something else then great.

Timothy for Polanski? I mean, if not, how many chapters are there with leads?

Hope Sam Jackson has a spot too.

Me too. At the very least if there isn't a role for him, I hope he's the narrator or something like he was in Inglourious Basterds, albeit a much bigger part than just a few lines.

I will you bald bastahs.

Edit/ Ahem...I'm sure mister Jackson will have a role.

Quentin Tarantino’s highly anticipated (and already controversial) next film will see him teaming up with collaborators new and old, from Margot Robbie and Burt Reynolds to Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio.

A source close to production has confirmed to IndieWire that one of his most important behind-the-camera collaborators is returning as well: cinematographer Robert Richardson. Richardson has shot each of Tarantino’s last four movies, receiving Oscar nominations for “Inglourious Basterds,” “Django Unchained,” and “The Hateful Eight”; he’s won the award as many times, for “JFK,” “The Aviator,” and “Hugo.”

Quentin Tarantino’s ‘Once Upon A Time In Hollywood’ Adds Luke Perry, Damian Lewis, Dakota Fanning, More

The Sony pic has brought aboard Damian Lewis, Luke Perry, Emile Hirsch, Dakota Fanning, Clifton Collins Jr, Keith Jefferson and Nicholas Hammond in supporting roles for a lineup that already includes Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt, Margot Robbie, Burt Reynolds, Timothy Olyphant, Michael Madsen and Tim Roth.

As befits a Tarantino pic, the casting intrigues: Lewis will play the iconic actor Steve McQueen; Fanning is set as Squeaky Fromme, the Manson disciple who later tried to assassinate President Gerald Ford; Hammond will play director Sam Wanamaker; and Hirsch is Jay Sebring, the Hollywood hairstylist who was one of four victims in the Tate murders on Cielo Drive.

Perry is set to play Scotty Lancer, Collins is Ernesto The Mexican Vaquero, and Keith Jefferson is Land Pirate Keith. It’s the third Tarantino film for Jefferson, who also appeared in The Hateful Eight and Django Unchained.

This cast he's assembled is a straight juggernaut. I think Tarantino might be in Basterds territory for this one.

Side note but I recently just finally got around to watching The Hateful Eight. Absolutely loved it. That and Inglorious are currently tied for my favorite Tarantino films.

I hear they’re looking for someone to play Bruce Lee as well.

Al Pacino Joins Quentin Tarantino’s ‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’

Pacino will play Marvin Shwarz — Leonardo DiCaprio’s character’s agent in the Sony film — marking his first collaboration with Tarantino. Dating back to his first feature film, 1992’s “Reservoir Dogs,” Tarantino has always cast movie stars he grew up watching, from Robert Forster in “Jackie Brown” to David Carradine in the “Kill Bill” films. Pacino fits that mold of A-list actors who rose to fame in the 1970s.

I’m so happy to see that this will be a larger than life movie after how relatively small Hateful Eight felt.

Hnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnngh.

Pacino working for the first time with Quentin and Scorsese.

Hands down my most anticipated movie of next years. It doesn't come even close...
