Hey Tim, I know you will probably read this but, I know you may be a little burnt out but I hope you have enough in reserve to do the third movie man. I really hope that this one is successful enough for a much bigger budget. can run loose.

Feel free to move this mods if you feel the need, I am quiet new to all this posting (I mostly read posts instead) but I think this qualifies as a new thread in itself. Its not a review and it is a new interview with new/confirmed spoilerish details or refers to one that is coming soon.

Wow. I jus got back from interviewing Tim Story for a black film magazine (focuses on films geared toward african and african american/caribbean film industry and mainstream from that perspective too) this morning in London. I must say that Tim is such a great guy and down to earth and very generous regarding talking about the franchise. I am a freelance interviewer and had a blast.t:

Anyway, I can't reveal too much 'cause this will be for print and web and likerly for my blog which i will post soon with a link but I just wanted to air a couple of cool things without compromising the interview or confidentiality of the interview either (for those cynics Iwill post a phone picture we had taken together for proof if required).

Some of this is not new, but once i've found a way upload clips from this and after the film is officially released it will be a good listen. I will make the link available soon.

In a nutshell:

• Tim DEFINATELY reads and responds to fans messages but is very clear that he is making his 'own' movie (like Sam Raimi) and that the studio allows him a lot of flexibility since movie one.
• He just wants to make an entertaining movie and doesn't get why some fans expect a film like the darker franchises like Spidey or X-men
• It was HIS idea to include the Surfer and he championed it through to execution and its just a tease
• Black Panther is NOT a lock for the next movie and not more than a surface consideration (more likely Puppetmaster)
• Admits that he wasn't the 'ideal' obvious choice to direct the franchise like James Cameron or the like, but felt that Marvel made an interesting choice in choosing someone people would be curious about.
• He accepts that he was thrown in the deep-end with movie #1 but has learnt heaps with this one
• When asked about short Doom screen time, said that it was better for people to want more than say the fights went on too long. Doesn't think fights should be too long and drawn out.

    [*]Galactus is definately NOT the cloud, but is classic Galactus. What we saw was confirmed by Tim as a deliberate tease for us to wait for the SS solo movie.
    [*]The cloud is just a 'manifestation' of his god-like power and not his total being but a way to eat planets
    [*]Surfer was merely introduced in this film but it IS confirmed that we will see him again and with more 'actual' Galactus.
    [*]They knew what they were doing and didn't want to spoil a future movie by showing everything now. But straight from the horses mouth there was an image ofGalactus head
  This is all the non-spoilery stuff and there is more from this interview that i'll get up as soon as I can but not before it is officially released (I'll get sacked).
