SHH! Exclusive:Interview with Tim Story!

My response to the interview is SWEETTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT !!!!!!!

:woot: :hyper: :wow: :yay: :thing: :ff:

Can't wait. This is soooooooooooooooooo going to rock the box office.

^^ Yeah this could work as well, it all depends on who does it.

Tim sounds as if he needs a breather and it would be good to see what another director might do but I would love to see Tim as a collaborator or producer as he has a sound grasp of the four main characters and that can be built on, especially the instances where the FF appear.

I think the FF should get an appearance, it is only fair to return the favor and keep the interests for the FF franchise hot.

Elektra without Daredevil was something I think Fox might not want to do again.

It was only because Elektra wasn't done well. Had the movie been better written, I don't think it would have been missing Matt. Besides, how big a BO draw is Garner really? The right people just were not on Elektra.

I don't think it neccessary to have the FF. I am not objecting to them in a SS movie, but I would rather see the SS expand upon the Marvel universe, via the infinite cosmos, than I would him encountering the FF again.

All we need is the right people working on it. That is the key.

I can't wait to see this movie unfortunately I'm waiting till Saturday.
Really nice interview!

Would be great if it were true, but the easiest explanation is that he says we see Galactus because he is shown as the cloud. I saw the cloud last night on a commercial and it really looks cool, its just not what I would hope for as Galactus.

this just doesn't make sense to me, though. nobody has ever asked "are we getting something called "galactus" in this film?" and nobody has ever said "we're giving you something that is galactus in spirit but not form".. people are asking "are we getting galactus?" and they're saying "yes".. a cloud called galactus isn't galactus, nor is galactus hidden by a cloud galactus.

I'm happy they can't get Namor for the Fantastic Four.

With FOX behind it, Sue and him would hook up and be in bed almost immediately.

I know i'm moving away from the point but what in a few words is so interesting about a Namor storyline, who is the guy?

Heres to hoping your right!

Everyone's talking about this clip but I haven't seen it. You see Galactus IN the storm?

I did not see a form in the cloud. But it still looked good imo. I've got it on my Tivo and will check it out again later today.

I thought it looked amazing, I can't wait to see that on the big screen.....

It was a nice interview, but I would have liked the interviewer to be a bit less warm & fuzzy with at least one question:

"Is Galactus just a cloud or what? SPILL IT! NOW!!!!"

In his appearance last night on the interview show "Life After Film School", FF2 writer Don Payne said, regarding Galactus: "Whatever his particular manifestation is in this film, I don't think it precludes any other manifestation in any future film."

So Payne does not consider the cloud to be Galactus.

Payne (who is obviously a true lifelong FF fan) talked extensively about working on the FF, on not losing sight of what really makes FF work. And to me (a fan for 37 years) everything he said was completely dead-on. He makes it clear that he didn't have anything approaching creative control (having to please the various studio people, Marvel, the director and even some actors) but that he made it his mission to keep the FF characters true to their roots.

After hearing what he had to say last night, I think we're very fortunate that this man was tapped to write FF2.

By the way, Annihilus and the Inhumans top his wish list for future FF films.

The show airs again tonight on Fox Movie Channel.

Annhihilus and Blastaar would be a great story!

Sadly, I don't get FOX movie channel.

However, Negative Zone and Inhumans are the top of my wish list for FF3, so him and I have something in commmon!

Malus, I saw that interview too and that's the impression I got. They want to leave the door open for future appearances by both Silver Surfer and Galactus

I know i'm moving away from the point but what in a few words is so interesting about a Namor storyline, who is the guy?

Namor is the undersea Prince of the Kingdom of Atlantis in the Marvel Universe.

Over 70 years old he is a long lived mutant, the child of a human and an atlantean mother with traits of both.

He is amphibious able to breathe under and above water, has little ankle wings powerful enough to give him flight and is as strong as the Thing.

Underwater he is practically unbeatable.

First FF appearance, Fantastic Four issue 4.

A little off topic....

On Wikipedia it says 120 minutes for the running time. but now it's back to 90 minutes.

Second EVER appearance, Marvel Comics Issue #1 (1939).

Yeah, he looks pretty good for his age...

He reads these boards...HI TIM! Movie looks promising.

Hello Mr. Story. My skepticism is behind me, hope this film is good.
