That last paragraph proves you know nothing about me. I have slammed Marvel repeatedly for their misdeeds & continue to do so.The Batman said:its nice to see that you've seen the film already, chris.
but whatever stupidity Sr has cant compare to the stupidity of X3.
Such as the gaping plothole of how warren got to alcatraz island so fast
such as letting a known terroist such as magneto walk
such as having wolverine, who needed five mintutes to heal from a bullet wound, suddenly heal rapidly when his ass is getting atomized
Such as having the dark freaking phoenix stand around and do nothing for most of the movie
Such as Storm talking about how theres nothing wrong with mutants, when theres a freaking blue guy and a girl who cant touch anyone in the room with her.
Such as saying Storm's the leader of the team, but having wolverine do most, if not all, of the leading
I know your immense bias for marvel will allow you to try and dispel these examples, because you think marvel can do no wrong, but anyone who can look at things objectively knows that stupidity was quite rampant in X3, so we cant fault SR for doing the same

Ths things I've seen lately, they look cool on the surface but they also look kinda stupid. The hail of bullets bouncing off Superman's chest. Ok-nice effect. But knowing that's what's going to happen-AS IS A LONG KNOWN & WELL-DOCUMENTED FACT-why shoot him? Why KEEP shooting him? Why not just surrender, since you can't win anyway? Supes flying in to save the day. Nice effect, but so what? Superman has been seen doing his thing 1,000,000 times & it's all pretty much the same. "Superman Returns" is a fitting title because it's just that; bringing back something we've all seen before. A hero with no physical limitations, confronting a villain who just can't bear his existence. It's redundant. You can't even feel that sense of "Is he gonna make it?" because barring the use of Kryptonite, there's no possibility of failure. The thrill of seeing superheroes in action is seeing them defy seemingly insurmountable odds & triumph. Where's the triumph when nothing can hurt you? The X-Men are fighting for survival, facing foes who can easily match, if not overcome their powers. The excitement level is exponentially higher.

Supes has always been too corny & ridiculous of a character for me to ever like. I swear that everyone in Metropolis must have brain damage not to realize the Clark is Superman. Glasses as a disguise? Yeah right.
