R&B Haters

I like Brothers Johnson, The Delfonics, Bobby Womack...stuff like that. But I'm not sure if that is R & B. I get confused between funk, soul, and R & B.

Yeah me too, I think when you say Usher is an R&B artist it throws me off. I mean he has rythm for sure but not so much with the blues??

Some of my favorite old school R&B songs

Tank - Maybe I Deserve and Slowly(Awesome songs even though they're not that old and came out 2001)

Ginuwine - Pony and Same Ol' G

Usher - You Make Me Wanna and My Way

H-Town - Knockin Da Boots

Portrait - Here We Go

Soul 4 Real - Every Little Thing Do

Loose Ends - Hanging On A String

Xscape - Who Can I Run To and Just Kicking It

Shai - If I Ever Fall In Love

Luther Vandross - Here And Now and Love To Stop

Blackstreet - No Diggity, Don't Leave Me Girl, Boyfriend/Girlfriend, and Take Me There

R Kelly - Bump N Grind

TLC - Just Creep, Digging On Me, Girls Talk, and Hands Up

Brandy - Sitting In My Room, Baby, and Angel In Disguise

Monica - First Night and Angel Of Mine

En Vogue - Hold On and My Lovin

Chico Debarge - Virgin

Aaliyah - If Your Girl Only Knew and Hot Like Fire(music video version)

The 90s was THE time for R&B.

I'm still wondering who told Macy Gray she could sing?

The 90's was the time for "over-singing, computer enhanced voices. R&B stopped being of good quality right around 92 to 93. After that just crap.

Envogue
TLC
Luther (really an 80's product)
Loose Ends (80's)

These are the ones on your list that really put out some nice stuff. And they fell off right around that time, too.

The 80's was the time for music......not just R&B but also the top 40 stuff.

Not a bad list:o

Now, people hating rap and hip-hop is somewhat understandable. But why do some people hate R&B, I mean it's just singing.
it's just not what I prefer... I like a little bit of it, but most of it sounds all the same to me :(

HA! Absurd.

But why do some people hate Country Music, I mean it's just singing.
But why do some people hate 80's Hair Metal, I mean it's just singing.
But why do some people hate Opera, I mean it's just singing.
But why do some people hate Gregorian Chants, I mean it's just singing.
But why do some people hate Barber Shoppe Quartets, I mean it's just singing.

 X 1,000
