Question how do you feel about a different race playing a character of another race?
Should it be considered artistic license as long as they play the role corectly.Or is it racist to expect the same race or think otherwise.
Or just a request for comics to remain true to source.
Ex.
Jessica Alba Hispanic woman=Sue Storm a White woman
Samuel Jackson Black man=Nick Fury White Even though he was Black in the Ultimate’s but is White in true Marvel Continuity.
Kerry Washington a Black woman=Alicia Masters White woman
Michael Clarke Duncan Black man=Kingpin White man
Jennifer Garner White=Elektra who is more ethnic looking, She’s Greek.
Now I ask you does this or should this effect the way you view these movies?
Now of course many of you will say no. But think about it before you answer:
How would you feel if a Black man were Playing Superman?
Or a White Guy playing the Black Panther after all there are White men in Africa. Or Captain America being Black (Black people are American too) and the Falcon being white?
Jennifer Lopez playing Wonder Woman? Should it matter to us or not?
And please don't say it all depends on who the Character is Because that is being hipocritacal, because what is an important character for one person may not be for another person and what is considered not an important character to one person may be an important character to another person.I’m not trying to rile anyone up. It is just a thought provoking question.
I ask it again.
