The Dark Knight Rambo Hates Batman ??

Not exactly. Stallone was talking about the movie and so was I.

Yes, but I don't think his remarks were directed at you, good sir.

Is it that diff'cult to be Keyser-sushi-polite and say 'with the gracious exception of El Payaso'?

LOL! :D

Fair enough. But I figured Crook's umbrella-statement obviously excluded not only himself, but anyone we respect.

I know what he meant, I just think that Stallone is a idiot.
Rocky six is going to suck balls better than Richard Simmons at a sailor bar.:o

I kinda thought I was just stating the obvious.

So if you don't lack reading comprehension, then don't worry. It's obviously not towards you. I made a point not to single out anyone, but that didn't work out too well. :o

I have a question... how many other character have worn outfit's like Batmans?

I mean, he says that it started a trend of action heroes in fake muscle suits, but how often do we really see that, with the exception of a few other comic book movies?

Till this day I still could not make out what Stallone often talks about.
He talks like he has marbles in his mouth.

Meh. On topic, he is a mediocre actor whose heyday is long behidn him.

I enjoyed the first few Rockys as much as the next person but outside of those, Cliffhanger and a few misc. action movies here and there his work is crap. His "disciplined" action movies were simply bad movies all about ovelry muscular guys running around jungles shirtless while beating up stereotypical RAVs (see Thank You for Smoking!).

Batman 1989 was a great film and is a classic much moreso than any Rambo, Demolition Man, Judge Dredd, Commando bull****.

But there has been a small regretion. While Keaton is twice the actor Stallone will ever be he was not very fit when he made the Batman movies, now audiences want their leads in these movies somewhat fit. I mean look at Christian Bale in Batman Begins, Hugh Jackman in his action movies, Tobey Maguire even got very nicely toned for the first two Spidey movies and changed his body for Seabiscuit (albeit that is a drama)...not so much for SM3, but given he's only behind the mask a third of the time, what's it matter anymore.

And maybe that is what he is complaining about. But truth be told I'd rather have really good movies with really good actors that may use some illusion to make them looker more fit or superhuman than they obviously are than watching Arnie, Sly or some other bad actor who is disgustingly torn run around with two assault rifles on each arm.

Just my opinion though.

on Conan he said the same thing except he used spiderman as an example

but he was ripped, it sounded ******ed when he said it

But...Tobey works out for those films, doesn't he?

Yeah....lol......which is why it's funny.

Plus.....he's not exactly the biggest looking dude. He's ripped.....not backed up. More defined than muscle bound....which is the comic way for Spidey anyways.

Stallone is.......well......he's getting old. His mind isn't what it once was......so, I'll let this slide.

Heh, you're a fair man.

I think he was so popular because of the fact that it was the 80s.

Everything in the 80s was done to excess. That was the mentality back then.

What's bigger is better.

This is also showcased in American Psyhcho very well.

You are so rignt

Actually Stallone is a very intelligent, well read man - I just disagree with him on this point.

Well if he was well read he would not criticize the Spidey movies for using someone who wasn't a musclebound monster in the '80s to play Spidey. Besides it is obvious, for at least the first two movies, Tobey Maguire worked out and got very toned and defined, which is what the part called for.

He could complain about Hugh Jackman and Christian Bale not....oh nevermind them either. The argument doesn't hold much weight anymore though.

Well, Stormin...I didn't say he was stupid. I'm just saying he's getting old. The man might not look it, but he's already past the half century mark. If it weren't for the muscles, most people would probably write him off as a crazy old man.

But, since he can kick most of they're asses......they just see him as a crazy muscle head.

And, on this subject....I think he's pretty dumb. Many of the current action heroes do work out. Jackman, Bale, Maguire, Routh........all those dudes have hit the weight room for they're respective roles.

I wonder if he'll get on THE HULK for being CGI.....hmmmm.....
