Next game in tghe series has been announced. Cant wait to see what Insomniac have in store bc I loved the last one. I jsut bought Quest for Booty today since it was the last day of the sale. Will have to play this weekend

Sony's French PR have just sent out a press release revealing Ratchet and Clank: A Crack in Time. Greetings from the SCEA Blogger’s Lounge at GDC! Last week, we teased you with our Ratchet & Clank Future Weapons Contest and the new action figures coming from DC Direct. While I’ll talk more about this in a bit, we are very happy at Insomniac to finally announce the name of our next game.



Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time will conclude the story arc that started in Tools of Destruction and continued in Quest for Booty. There will be plenty to talk about over the next few months as we work towards our fall release, and we can’t wait to share more. But for those of you wanting a first look, tune into Gametrailers TV this week on Spike TV (check your local listings for time) for the world premiere of the teaser trailer.

For those of you who have been e-mailing us with questions about the Weapons Contest and asking when and where you can submit, you’ll be happy to know that submissions are open as of tomorrow! I’m also excited to announce the Grand Prize winner will have their weapon included in Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time, will be given a life-size replica of the weapon, and will win a trip to San Diego Comic-Con to meet with the dev team and reveal the winning weapon to the public there!

As inspiration for you guys, tune in tomorrow for a little video roundtable talking about some of our favorite weapons stories and experiences over the years of working on Ratchet & Clank weapons.

Yes! It's happening again. I love the whole series, but ToD took the franchise to an even greater height and I hope this one delivers (hell, I know it will). 2009 is stacking up in game world. I'm stoked.

I was beginning to wonder if Insomniac was going to take a year off since we hadn't heard anything about this. That year off would have been well deserved, but I'm glad that's not the case, I loves me some Ratchet & Clank.

I just got Quest For Booty since it was marked down to 10 bucks. Need to finish that and pre-order this pronto.

It looks like that Lombax is a friend to Ratchet's Dad, or maybe even IS Ratchet's Dad, I dunno. So are we gonna see the whole race of Lombax's?

Holy balls! Action figures! I've ALWAYS wanted Ratchet action figures ever since breaking all my awesome old Crash Bandicoot toys (that are worth a lot of money these days ).

Well, I happened to over at GameStop's website and they have a release date of November 24th. I know that's unreliable and most likely is just a general date placeholder, but I thought I'd post it because...well, the 24th is my birthday. I could dig this game being released on my birthday

Anyone know if this game will have any form of online component? I know a couple of the PS2 games did, but so far the PS3 ones have not. Will they bring that back with Crack in Time?

The character's last name is Azemuth. He's a big Lombax leader and hero. The Court of Azemuth found in the final battle in Tools of Destruction was designed by him.

Man I wish this had gotten some more coverage at the show. It looks GREAT, but no one's seemed to comment on the more cartoony (and better imo) art style, and we haven't heard a peep out of Ratchet, he hasn't spoken at all. We need a proper trailer.
