8/10 - I was hoping for some Psylocke action + the Archangel effects weren't as strong as they probably will be.

5/10

Positives
-Apocalypse. The voice, the history, the look, everything
-McAvoy's acting seems strong as usual.
-Most everyone looks the part. Sheridan looks great.
-Nice to see Singer unchaining himself visually, going with more cg shots, etc...at least in theory.
-That last shot of Xavier. Can't wait to see the ending with Scott and Jean as Xmen and classic Xavier at the helm.

Negatives
-Awful cgi. I've gotta assume these shots were last minute additions...
-Turner's acting. Hopefully it's just that scene.
-Cheeseball song. Feels like a YA property. Though maybe that's not a bad thing...?
-Lawrence's Mystique, or Raven rather.
-The four horsemen standing in that well lit X hallway isn't doing much to build up their mystique or menace. Feels silly.
-Seen most it before.

I'm sure the next trailers will be better.

I think the horsemen in general could have gone for a less human look.

Maybe just do something to their eyes. All white, or all black, or something.,

Ehhh......gave it an 8. Looks better than I expected. I don't like the constant overexposure of Mystique just because of the actress. She looks like a defacto leader of the Xmen. Would have liked to see the horsemen with a more altered evil look. They look so plain to me. But its got me intrigued enough to see it. Im happy to finally get an interesting and powerful villain that isn't Magneto or some human working for the government.

Agreed on both of these points, they need more of a sinister look to be honest. Doesn't look like they are being mindcontrolled by apocalyspe but then again its the first trailer, il give benefit of the doubt. Another thing is Lawrence , i know she's the it girl right now but she really does nothing for me .When i saw her step up in the Xwing looking in control and her pep talk i shook my damn head. Always getting screen coverage.Ive had enough of her , hopefully she has a limited role in this film compared to DOFP.

Anyway descent trailer but did not pack a punch so a 7/10 for me. Hopefully the next trailer builds on this one with improved CG and plot points,

7/10

Kinberg has said that Scott, Jean, Storm and Kurt will be just as important as Eric, Raven and Charles... but it isn't what the trailer is selling.

I don't mind Raven's importance at all. She is actually a great character. As long as the new characters are just as important as she is.

Fox just needs to wake the **** up and realize how many great characters they have and give them all room to shine.

I voted 9/10. Really relieved it wasn't just CC trailer. Thought it did a pretty nice job teasing Apocalypse. He looks good. Liked how they were setting up four horsemen. Liked that they showed some big scale destruction. Only gripes are cgi needs some work and no good shots of psylocke.

It was abit average for me, i do hope Jlaw isnt hogging the limelight and that the young mutants get a fair bit of screentime. I trust in singer so im pretty sure this movie is in good hands. Cant wait for next year we are all in for big treats :).

A 7 which represent my cautious optimism.

I love Nightcrawler, Quicksilver and Magneto. The brief action looked good. The four horsemen seem like a blast.

Disliked Mystique being the leader and Jean Grey's acting so far.

Also Apocalypse needs a deep or mechanized voice. He sounded too normal.

Considering some of the great trailers weve seen lately like Capt A Civil War and The Revenent... I thought it was terrible.

Angel... smh. Despite all the criticism that was going around about Apocalyse look, with the proper lighting, I thought he looked fine. But Angel...Now THAT looked like something from a childs movie or show. Whats with the ridiculous looking costumes? Meanwhile in Deadpool, were getting this...

Yea yea yea, Im gonna be called a troll and hater and blah blah blah (except Im usually the guy saying lets wait and see)...but IMHO its a really bad trailer and the design work is just atrocious.
It seemed like many steps back in terms of production. I know trailers often have incomplete FX (New BvS was also really shaky in spots)... this looked like SYFY tv production.

Disappointing trailer.

This film may have been rushed to much. DoFP (which I really liked) was just released last year. Will have to wait and see how it all pans out.

That would be cool. They looked to evolution for some of this adaption it seems and that had them with glowing eyes to show them as evil and not themselves. Perhaps they didnt want them to appear as slaves or being there against their will.

His costume is comic accurate. Blame the comics.

Aside from the blue and headgear its pretty dang close

^ Seeing that... your right, but they didnt go with a headcover.. it looks like they drew some lines on his face, gave him some lipstick and called it the day.

Still I dont think they translated the design well. Freeze frame the scene outside Cerebro. It looks ridiculous. All the suits do. The best one is the one that everyone previously thought looked the worst.

loved what i saw for the most part. what kept me from giving the trailer a 10/10 was some of the visual effects, though most likely they will look even better in the finished product, and also Jennifer Lawrence. i'm getting tired of her and hate how the last few films they have been trying to put her front & center in this franchise

6/10, looks like an xmen movie and that doesn't thrill me anymore like it used to. The style is just too blasse now.

9/10. It really feels like we're going for an epic,large-scale X-Men movie never seen before,it follows DoFP in embracing the comic-book roots and I'm very happy for that.

Nice to see that the majority of the forum liked this trailer!

Great trailer. It looks super-exciting, and does a good job of building up the villain. Apocalypse himself looks great and sounds great, and the movie definitely seems to have a good grasp of him as a character -- his motivations, his history, his mythology, etc. Xavier looks like he has some great scenes in this movie, and I like the glimpses we get of the X-Men gathering together as a team.

What's really nice is that the trailer shows us just enough to get people interested without giving away too much. The clips we get are definitely enough to excite me.

8/10, Looks like an X-Men film on a scale not seen before and Apocalypse himself looks and sounds like he has the potential to be a great villain. Some work to do in some areas clearly but certainly promising. While not as "catchy" as say the Deadpool trailer it may well end up being a better movie.

Between this and the CA:CW trailer I am once again excited for comic book movies after this years left me a little cold.

It's better than the first DoFP teaser, but so is the video I made of my cat going nuts on the couch.

The only thing that really registered with me from the trailer is James McAvoy, who looks as switched-on and committed as always.

I'm still willing to give Apocalypse the benefit of the doubt, but I'm not impressed with his voice, and I giggled during the scene where he gives his big speech against the dramatic sky. He actually looks more scary in the scenes where you don't have a full view of his face while he talks.

Sophie Turner's line delivery is... baaad, so hopefully it's just that one scene. The rest of the new characters have fairly static introductions, so who the heck knows.

The synthy blaaaangs at the end of the trailer sound very cheesy.

What do X-Men movies have against bridges? ;)

The shot of the bald Xavier at the end is great but kinda random choice to end a trailer with; like, is that supposed to be a money shot or something?

Because thats the iconic look of Professor X which James Mcavoy didn't have his previous 2 X-Men films. But its pretty weird it took them 3 films just to make him bald.

What do X-Men movies have against bridges?

I think it was a nod to X3.

If you want to get metaphorical, it could be interpreted as burning bridges between humans and mutants. XD It was alluded to by Magneto in X3 with the line "Charles always liked to build bridges."

they didn't wanna rush it clearly, just like magneto, beast and mystique

I think it was a nod to X3.

Not really its a mass destruction movie, a bridge is always involved lol
