Superman Returns Rate New Trailer!

The music seemed to be all Ottman's apart from 2 small parts. The build up to the superman theme, and the little fanfare thingy that plays before the main theme get's going. That sounded like the original to me. Either that, or Ottman has made something that sounds completely identical for that piece of music.

The last trailer kind of disappointed me to be honest, and lowered my expectations a tad, so I went into this one with some obvious trepidation.... but after seeing it....

Now that's the kind of trailer I wanted to see. Much, much, much better --- 10/10.

I gave it a 10/10...but i don't think it's not as good as it could have been. I thought it was very very choppy. The music was amazing, but the scenes kept moving jumping from one to the next, they clearly took dialogue that went together and placed them all over the trailer, which was a little frustrating. Music didn't fit in some parts of the trailer but that's probably just for the trailer, but you can just tell that the score of the movie will be one of those classical epic inspiring scores like braveheart and gladiator. But even with these flaws i gave it a 10...instead of a 13 out of 10, because even if they don't fit together, the scenes look amazing, and the score is amazing too...just not well editted for the trailer.

EDIT: I change my mind after watching the trailer again...(14th maybe?)...I realized theres only one scene that is completely out of place, and that the floating above the world scene...the voice-over, the scene itself, and the music, does not go with the rest of the trailer...if anything they should have had that start of the trailer instead of smack in the middle, or end with it, but i prefer the bullet scene.

Brandon Routh just looks miscast, though - vocally and lookswise. He might fit the goofy Kent, but when he's in the suit and talking as Superman, he just doesn't connect. I'm hoping he proves me wrong in the film proper, but judging from the footage available, he just doesn't cut it.

I agree 100% with this post.

In all the trailers and teasers, Lex and Lois have most of the speaking lines. And the lines that Routh delivers...well, lets just say, they seem a little off. Particularly the stuttering part about have secrets. Doesn't quite come off right. But I do like his line about people praying for a savior. So I'm hopeful.

About that kid though...watch the trailer...particularly the part where Lex wails WROOOOOOOOONG!!!! The kid was already cringing waaaay before Spacey even shouts that line.

That new trailer is awesome. The bullet bouncing off his eye rocked all kinds of cool. I like his little smile/smirk after the dude realizes the bullet couldnt even damage the softest part of the human (and theoretically the Kryptonian)

9. It had a few tiny things that were off but overall great trailer. The CGI is damn near flawless...looks just as good as Kong's. Routh has done it from what I have seen.

I disagree. Kate is simply acceptable. She was miscast. I was sold on Routh ever since that "I'm always around" line.

SUPERman is gone for 5+ years and he comes back to earth, and lois informs him that her and the planet has moved on and he just flies away?!

supes is not a brooding hero. whether or not they've moved on isn't important, because they still need him (as he states later in the trailer). to me, that part was edited poorly and made him come across as somebody selfish; go back and look at the 2nd trailer and they did it better there

I want Superman to feel like a god just descended from Mt. Olympus and walks among mortals.

that just about sums up what i've felt about this movie so far. i could never express it in words. Superman is practically a GOD. this trailer just doesn't scream "epic" to me as the other trailers somebody mentioned (LotR, EpIII, and even the matrix reloaded teaser).

Plus my earlier points about revealing too much/excess money shots still stand. If they had to show the bullet and the plane, they should've kept the plane last as it's bigger in scale and fits the whole aformentioned epic vibe.

For me, these trailers seem like they're saying "Hey, there's a new Superman movie coming out, go see it" instead of giving me that "HOLY **** i HAVE to see X movie this summer"

I'm not a huge Superman fan by any means (Batman is my main man), but the more I see of this movie, the more excited I get.
I can't wait.
