This movie was good I loved the upbeat feeling it had the entire time. I knew I was going to like this movie within the fist 10 minutes. The cast was great the action was good the only problem I had was the story which I felt could have been cleaned up. The humor didn’t bother me as some critics have said I thought it worked well. Overall I thoroughly enjoyed watching it and give it a 8.5/10

Or the Terrifics!
I would love a film version of The Terrifics. That’s one of my favorite limited series of the past 10 years.

Unfortunately, I had a relapse of COVID symptoms which caused me to have to give my Prime tickets away. So I’m delayed in seeing this. But my spoiler-free question for you would be: what comics would you say inspire the tone in this movie?

Great question! Hope you recover soon ❤️

Certainly some All-Star, but also Birthright, Who Killed Jimmy Olsen (seriously there’s a lot of “Silver Age Through a Modern Comedic Lens” happening here), Morrison’s Action Comics and maybe a dash of Busiek’s run in there.

Hope you feel better ASAP! :hrt:

So, having sat on this last night and into in the morning, I can't help but feel disappointed. I really wanted to love this, but I just couldn't connect with it enough. I absolutely love and adore a lot of the characters. Clark, Lois, and Lex are pitch perfect and the film really soars when Superman is interacting with those two. I could tell from the trailers, but the movie hammers it home how much Corenswet really just embodies "superhero" as an actor. When I watch him on screen, I'm watching Superman.

Unfortunately, I found the story and scripting a little too messy. Too many ideas feel a little too half-baked and probably could've used some more time to really sink your teeth into. A lot of individual scenes work wonderfully, but on the whole it came across as scattershot. It's an issue I have with some of Gunn's other films, so perhaps I just don't like the way he structures his stories.

The casting for this movie was soooo good. Absolutely loved David and Rachel's chemistry in this. Nathan Fillion was born to play Guy Gardner, Edi was absolutely perfect for Mr. Terrific! Movie's pacing for the first half felt structurally a little off, and I'm betting we are missing a good chunk of this movie... however, the action is so much fun, and the actors really carried this movie. The plot did feel predictable, but I was still having a blast watching it.

7.5-8/10 (I voted 8)

Going to see it again Saturday!

Does this film have any post credit scenes?
Yes but nothing you have to see. Just a fun comedic aside. The lead in to Supergirl happens before the credits.

Good to know. Going with a friend. Just wanted to be sure that we didn’t have to stick around.
Unfortunately, I won’t be seeing this til, Monday. Long weekend ahead.

Just curious for those who have seen it… do you think it would be okay to take my 10 year old to see it? I am going to see it regardless, but I’d like to take him if at all possible. Taking him could also be the difference of watching it this weekend or having to wait a couple of weeks.

There's a few of instances of strong language ("s**t" is the worst of it I'm pretty sure), and there is a somewhat shocking moment of a character being shot in the head - it's not gory but you kinda weren't expecting it to happen. Clark and Lois' makeout session is a bit heavier than we might be used to (you can kinda already see that in the trailers), but that's all the stuff I can think of that might not be considered kid-friendly.

The only issues are some passionate smooching and some brief intense violence. But I'm sure a 10 year old boy has seen a lot worse.
