you are right, i totally remember the COMICS giving him a little brick texture on his costume and raised webbing...oh wait...

So you're saying he doesn't look like Spider-Man! Oh ha ha ho hoo hee! I will totally keep that in mind, friend.

Same here had they removed the brick texture and given him some better boots and not used raised webbing. Id have nothing negative to say about it.

I wouldn't even care about that: as long as they made the costume THEIR OWN.

I don't get that impression with this new outfit.

No I am saying you keep changing your arguments when you get proven wrong. We were saying how the NEW costume looks alot like the raimi costume, and you countered with the idea that no it looks like spider-man, but Spider-Man in the comics doesnt have the qualities we are picking out as being the Raimi ones.

basically.

the new costume is a nice Spider-Man costume, but is it the right Spider-Man costume for part 2 to Amazing Spider-Man? No, not at all.

That or everyone is giving into Avi Arad because he says give the fans exactly what they want. :oldrazz:

if that was the case, 40 something year old Tobey Maguire would be swinging around in the Spider-Man suit, panting and breathing heavily while wearing a corset to try and hide his pot belly

And I say that they both look like Spider-Man. Which you apparently violently disagree with for some weird reason.

Spider-Man in the comics doesnt have the qualities we are picking out as being the Raimi ones.

They've never drawn spider-man with silvery raised webbing. are you drunk?

Luckily I'll be giving my money to actual, credible filmmakers rather than frothing internet fanboy #213687.

You know, the people I actually trust to make these decisions.

I'll have to see the final product in the first trailer we get.

Otherwise, I don't think so either.

stop putting words in my mouth, No one here ever said it didnt look like spider-man, and no in the comics he has NOT been drawn with silvery raised webbing. How low IS your reading comprehension anyway? Cause it seems as if you just see what you want to see and comment about something completely different than what we are discussing.

Be sure and let me know someone presents a reasonable argument other than "ermahgerd I dont like it"

Be sure and let us know when someone who can actually read and understand the discussion at hand shows up, instead of somebody who goes around in circles on a topic.

We thought they were going to go with an improved suit from the first movie. Not step backwards to one from a Raimi film. THATS what we're saying. You clearly overlooked that because you're blinded by rage.

I can't be arsed to point out your own posts to you.

Yeah just look at that shiny metallic raised metal webbing. And that brick looking texture. Man, how could people even think it looks like the Raimi suit.
That's because most people are only viewing the design itself, which is the blueprint for both Raimi's flicks and the new Webb's costume. No one expects line drawings from the 60's to have detailed patterns like the movie's version. People act like Raimi designed and owns the suit, they're Sony's designs from their designer that they paid for, they (Sony) not the director (Raimi) own every single honeycomb pattern on that costume--and may use it as they see fit.

I can't be arsed to point out your own posts to you.

Bottom line is... some people don't like the new suit. They don't have to justify it to you. You've completely ignored our reasoning so I don't see why we should continue to explain it.

Not step backwards

There's the rub.

Without a shred of evidence, you're convinced that paid professionals just threw their hands into the air and said "**** it! It's noon Friday. We're cutting out of work early, just go with whatever Raimi did!"

This whole argument isn't even about the suit. It's about entitled internet nerds assuming they know anything about costume design or filmmaking, and projecting their weird little ego's onto other peoples work.

Here's a test: Name the fabric blend used in each of Raimi's suits, as well as the ASM one and the the new one.

I'll wait.

We have given you visual proof of what we are talking about in this very thread on these very last couple of pages and you ignore it and start spouting off at the mouth a bunch of babbling nonsense while trying to hurl underhanded insults to those who are trying to explain what it is that is not to their liking. Dont expect us to not voice our opinion to you because it upsets you, especially when you seemingly cant hold an actual convo like an intelligent person would.

Be sure and let me know someone presents a reasonable argument other than "ermahgerd I dont like it"

I can understand both perspectives on this matter.

We're all on the same fence post on this one; ease the tension, everybody! We're cool on this. :word:

To speak for EVERYONE, I love the new costume, but don't like how it bares a strong resemblance to the Raimi outfit. It lacks creativity for me, minus the new awesome eyes.

And I will also say that I'm REALLY getting tired of all the hate that's been going on this last week throughout the thread: it's like a brick wall argument with most who refuse to see reason. It's childish and I'm getting tired of everyone getting butt hurt like spoiled 6 year olds about the costume, and ESPECIALLY the ones who... in way, I FEEL, are kind of rubbing it in. And at the same time, even saying cruel and tasteless things.

I'm a little angry, but I've gotta be the voice of reason on here. I expect others to be the same and put on their big girl/big boy pants and be mature about arguments with ACTUAL responses instead of just I DON'T LIKE IT.

I could be interpreting it wrong for all I know, but I don't see why we can't keep it cool, see? :yay:

You don't have a shred of evidence that they didn't do that. See, it works both ways. I don't have to justify my opinion to you. :D

Webb's ASM just seems a little more realistic to me. More mature, more 'lived in'. The new csotume is more like the comics but seems a little 'kiddy', a little cartoony.
Very much like the Captain America suit, in the Captain A movie the suit had the 'spirit' of the Captain Amercia suit because was a little more mature, 'lived in'. Also in the movie they had the straight up ripped from the comic outfit and it loved very cartoony and even the Avengers Captain America suit looked a little cartoony.

I could be interpreting it wrong for all I know, but I don't see why we can't keep it cool, see? :yay:

There wouldn't be a problem at all aside from the angry entitled nerds who keep insulting professional filmmakers and working people with their "they jes copied it" garbage.

I have a very low tolerance for useless loudmouths disparaging the work of hard-working professionals.
