For me also, I dont know why, but costume looks at least one number bigger then who ever wearing it. ASM costume was slick and narrow you could see
muscles and shape of ultimate spiderman just like in comics, this looks to me
more romita spiderman. Bigger and bulgy spiderman reminds me on Raimi Spiderman, specialy with raised black web...

Yeah I was a big fan of the ASM suit.

That's a stunt suit if I ever saw one.

Could very well be.

I somewhat think that's a good thing since it would look like Peter made it.

I agree to an extent, but it seems like a step down in quality from the first one he made.

I Love LOVE this costume! I love how the eyes are bigger this time (reminiscent of the Bagley/ Mcfarlene look from my childhood). I wasn't terribly impressed with ASM 1 but between this new suit and Jamie's Electro this is shaping up to be much better.

not that much of a fan of the new costume there are aspects i like but i think its a step back based on all the progress from the first film been a reboot. I think they should of kept the asm suit and changed aspects of it to make it more of the spiderman suit we're use to seeing like the eyes but i dont think giving us a suit similar to what we've seen is the way. say what you want about the asm suit it set its self apart. Its like saying i miss supermans old suit in the man of steel and in the sequel giving him the superman returns suit. point is you cant reboot a film series and bring back the same costume.

Things I would change:

Brighter red
Brighter blue
Small spider logo on chest
Circular fat spider logo on back
Thinner belt (2 blocks thick instead of 3)
Utility belt (web cartridges and spider tracers)
NO raised webbing despite the black

All in all, I was the 90's series Spider-Man costume. The eyes are PERFECT though!

I would change the look of the web shooters. Not a fan of the new design, but everything else is great.

If I HAD to pick something else to change, I wouldn't mind if the red had a texture similar to the texture of the other suit (similar, but not exact, as the texture only worked for me in certain shots). As of now, the red seems too flat/plain, but its certianly not a deal breaker for me. I wouldn't change the blue texture though.

All in all, I really really like this suit. I've probably said it a thousand times, but Romita JR is my favorite Spidey artist and this costume with Andrew's physique is like seeing his drawings come to life. Can't wait to we see better, official shots.

That'd be cool. At the very least, I want to see him have to reload his web shooters, or at the very least fiddle with them. In the last movie, they made a point to bring back mechs, but then totally ignored them until the final battle.

I'm pretty sure they will have him reload. He might run out of web fluid in one or two if the fights.

Yeah that's a great shot. Wall crawling always seems to be under-used in the movies (or maybe it's just a matter of shooting it in a way that allows us to appreciate the fact that he's clinging to a wall/ceiling). It always bugs me, too, when they show him grab hold of a ledge like a normal person would. His fingertips can cling to any surface; he doesn't need to physically grab things when he climbs. Minor nitpick, but all the movies do it.

In any case, I'm glad to see we'll have at least one scene focusing on this ability.

I dunno, it still looks like they got scared and went back to the old suit. I'd have liked the colours and texture to have at least been caried over. This one also looks really cheap. The boots look like they were thrown together a half hour before filming started.

Yeh, I said everything I really had to last time I popped in here. I am liking the eyes the more I see them though.

I just dont love it, its spider-man, but from a movie context and fan of the first ASM, its got problems. But these pics are still cool.

no problem. again these are my opinions.

#1.my main issue as ive mentioned before is the texture pattern, its the exact brick pattern from the Raimi Movies. to me, thats very lazy and underwhelming. To me its inexcusable from a design standpoint. thousands of textures to choose from, and they land on the same exact one.

#2. The material just seems flimsy and too silky, the original suits material/textures seemed like it could take a beating more than this one and seemed more realistic and that went with the world they were creating.

#3. It does not seem like a natural evolution of the first suit. Just looks like the raimi suit with better eyes. The logical thing to have done is take the original suit from part 1 and modify the patterns/eyes to a more traditional style, while still keeping the spirit of the first suit, but now being more classic in design.

#4. This is not a big issue as it could all be modified and probably will be in post, but i wish the colors were brighter more saturated.

Overall these pics look cool, the Eyes are great and i imagine the suit will play better on screen. I just hate that its DNA drawn from the Raimi Suit instead of the ASM suit. That will never change for me.

1. It's not the exact same brick pattern as the Raimi suit. Far from it. Now if you were referring to the webbing being raised, then yes. Both are raised, but by two different methods giving them, upon further examination, different looks.

2. I agree with this, but its not that big an issue for me because I feel that it makes it more like a costume someone built. The look of the other one, while looking made for function, look like something that would be difficult to repair every time it was damaged. This looks much similar.

3. Yes, I understand this. I felt the same way. However, my one request was that if they did just skip ahead and do the classic design again w/o a proper evolution, that they make the best suit possible. And they did pretty much that.

4. Yeah. The colors will likely be enhanced in post, particularly the blue portions. Seeing as its the same material they used for the blue portions on that last suit, they will likely enhance it like they did then.

As far as it being "DNA" drawn from the Raimi suit, I disagree wholeheartedly. The Raimi suit was EXTREMELY faithful to the comics design, so any suit that comes after it will look like that if its based on the comics design.

It's like when two different movies are based on the same book. They will seem alot alike because they are based on the same source material. It just that simple. It's not one trying to rip of the other. Yeah, they will be presented differently in some, maybe alot, of ways but they will be alot alike regardless because they're the same source material.

The texture on the red/blue is in fact practically the same brick interlocking pattern from the raimi movies. Thats honestly my biggest issue with this new suit. dont know how that can even be argued.

Especially since they're no longer using the honey comb textured look. I think had they actually gone with another pattern, one that didn't work quite as well or didn't fit at all with insect/spider themed costume people probably would've criticized them again for being different just to be different.

I still dont buy thats the ONLY thing that worked. I mean, imagine that. only ONE texture pattern in the world works for this spider-man costume, howabout NO texture pattern? the webs not enough?
