Justice League Ray Fisher - WB Investigation Updates Thread

Exactly. I dont see how people could think Rey was being petty about that. Thats disrespectful. You wouldnt do that during a work zoom meeting would you?

If it was deep into a long phone call, to be totally honest, it wouldn't register to me as particularly strange or disrespectful but if he was already having suspicions I can see why it'd get under his skin. I'm not sure it was the best detail to publicly share when the big narrative against him is that he's thin-skinned, but that probably isn't the biggest priority for him.

I don't know what he's really like behind closed doors and all that, but I often wonder how people can be a big Superman fan, say, and yet can act in complete opposite of what he would stand for. .

Tis' actually a lot more common than you think. I've seen it plenty of times here on the hype, kinda hilarious tho.

If I ran WarnerMedia I would fire everyone involved with this situation including Ray Fisher.

So, quick question for people following this super closely, would anyone be able to give me some context for why on Earth people are mocking Ray about a microwave? I'm getting the impression he heard the investigator microwaving something, felt this was unprofessional and got deeply paranoid/offended. This sounds like a highly uncharitable reading so I was hoping someone could clear it up.

People think Ray’s being petty about that but I completely sympathize with him on that. If I’m having a serious conversation with someone especially a legal investigator, I want your full damn attention. I dont wanna hear your microwave or tv in the background, that implies that your attention is elsewhere and not on the call.

Exactly. It's about respect. I'm damn sure that I could microwave a meal whilst holding a phone conversation about my speciality and not miss a beat. I could also sit shuffling a pack of cards during a face-to-face meeting. But I wouldn't do it.

Or microwave your food and just go on mute. It’s just basic meeting etiquette.

W0nder if they'd ever address that again. Why do that in the first place, they thought Momoa would keep his mouth shut about being cast in a movie that doesn't exist? lol We can debate all we like about this whole debacle, but this is the type of thing that really hits home how out of touch their PR department is. Out of curiosity, has any other movie studio ever tried to pull a stunt like that before.

I don't think the movie itself didn't exist, but that Momoa hadn't actually signed for it. Idiotic move, regardless.

WB seems to hope that the public hopes this goes away. This could be another "me to" if handled right.

If multiple actors start complaining about being subjected to abusive behavior by directors and producers, it could gain a lot of steam, but I'm not sure it could take off quite like #metoo did. And I wouldn't say twitter represents "the public". I think the vast and I mean VAST majority of the movie industry's actual paying customers have no idea about the situation or the chaos surrounding the JL reshoots in general. Regular people don't usually care about who gets fired, who gets replaced, behind the scenes turmoil, or what scenes do or don't make the cut, they just go to watch what they hope is an entertaining movie.

Maybe they'll delay WW84 again so Gal can't come out and back Ray and Jason :funny:

I have a feeling she'd be way more comfortable coming out after WW84 and the Poirot movie comes out

There's a Ray Fisher shirt you can buy, money raised goes to V‎olunteer Lawyers for the Arts.

What are they going to do with $500.00 ?

... lunch for the arts?
