He can't be worse than Bradshaw though. :hehe: I swear, sometimes it sounds like he's having a seizure on live television.

It took them years to actually get a decent WR. They finally have a good team to field. Too bad they're the third best team in that divison.

Bull.

There's no way the Lions are better than the Bears. I guarantee you the Bears end up with a better record than the Lions. Guarantee it.

Lions are better than the Bears. Provided Stafford stays upright, Lions can sleepwalk to an 11-5 record this season. Bears will be lucky to be 9-7.

I'm not buying the hype that adding a headcase like Marshall suddenly makes the Bears world-beaters because he once had good rapport with Cutler in Denver 5 years ago. A lot of holes on that Bears team especially on the o-line.

Sleepwalk to 11-5? Good luck with that. Especially with that non-existent running game of theirs, a non-existent secondary and one of the most ill-disciplined squad in the NFL.

Before Cutler went down last season the Bears were coming off a 5 game winning streak and were sat at 7-3, about to go into their easiest stretch of the season. They brought in cover in Jason Campbell, so should Cutler go down injured again I don't expect there to half as much of a slide as there was last season. They brought in Michael Bush to back up Matt Forte, who before he was injured was having the best season of his career.

Lovie Smith has proven he can bring guys in with troubled pasts and get them under control. Chicago has a much better and stronger locker room than Miami does, Brandon's problems aren't going to be a factor this season. Not to mention they've never stopped him from producing on the field, so whether he's a head case or not is irrelevant.

Brandon Marshall has admitted psychological problems.

I don't care how Lovie Smith can get people under control, all he can do is hope Marshall is getting therapy and on his meds.

That being said, the Bears do have an easy schedule. And a decent team could easily go 12-4 with that schedule. However, the game I saw against the Giants in the 1st half, I wasn't necessarily impressed with their offense.

Point me towards where I denied that? Brandon's been active since his diagnosis in attempting to bring awareness to Borderline Personality Disorder and even spoke at a BPD conference fairly recently.

He's in a stable environment with coaches and players that he has had success with before and has good relations with. There's no way that can do anything other than help.

Its wierd too because friends of mine that are skins fans are crowing like they already won the division and super bowl. He has looked good in preseason but its preseason. If its week 7 and hes lighting it up maybe Ill believe.

Oh really? Lying on the boards is terrrible

You stated "Brandon's problems aren't going to be a factor this season."

You don't know for 100% certain that it won't be.

I agree with this. Lions have a better overall team than the Cubbies, ermmm..... I mean the Bears, especially on defense. So yes, I believe the Lions will finish with a better record than Chicago.

You don't know for 100% certain that they will.

His problems have yet to have a negative impact on a team on the field, or negatively impact his play for that matter, he's still produced. People are acting like having BPD has derailed this guy's career when he's still, in my mind, one of the better receivers in the game.

sort of like they had last season where they went 10-6?

Before Cutler went down last season the Bears were coming off a 5 game winning streak and were sat at 7-3, about to go into their easiest stretch of the season.
and in one of those 3 losses they got smoked by the Lions on MNF. But seriously are we going to play the "if's" and "but's" game?

LOL Like Cedric Benson? or Tank Johnson? or Aaron Gibson? or....

Of course it's relevant, he's gotten himself booted off of two different teams already, despite as you say, continuing to produce to an extent on the field. The guy is human trash. He has a diagnosed personality disorder. He hits women repeatedly, take a look at his rap sheet on Wikipedia. It doesnt matter if the Bears have a "strong lockerroom" or whatever other BS that sportswriters try to make up to romanticize the game.

Guy has a repeated pattern of behavior over the course of his career, not exactly going out on a limb to say it's going to crop up again at some point. Hell he got arrested like 2 weeks after getting traded to the Bears so it's not like these things are in his distant past. That's far less of a stretch than thinking that the old men Urlacher (who's already hurt again BTW) and Briggs are going to scare him straight.

The Bears will go nowhere of importance until Jay Cutler can get more than 1 second in the pocket. That Oline is just terrible.

I'm willing to wager having to rock a Lions signature of your choosing for an entire year should the Lions have a better record than the Bears. That's how confident I am that they won't "sleepwalk" their way to anything.

With Cutler taking seven step drops behind one of the worst offensive lines in the league. No more Martz, no more seven step drops. Addition by subtraction.

Oh, wait, are we forgetting the game (later in the season, I might add) where the Bears mauled the Lions by twenty four points?

Jason Campbell? Oh boy.....

Better than Caleb Hanie. :o

Three examples over the course of nearly a decade? Congratulations. Guys respond to Lovie Smith's style of coaching, it's an opinion that's well held around the league. That's why guys like Peppers join in Free Agency, because he knows how to treat men like men.

Booted off two different teams? McDaniels gutted the Broncos. That's not on Brandon regardless of his off the field problems, if you want to defend McDaniels go ahead, I doubt the Broncos fans will join you.

Show me exactly how he was toxic in Miami? Because him being traded has more to do with Jeff Ireland being an idiot than anything. If you've caught a Dolphins preseason game or watched Hard Knocks, you'd bet he'd take Marshall back in a heartbeat.

The guy has had problems, that I concede. But he's getting the help he needs now and, personally, I'm not the type of person that's going to write a guy off for the things he's done whilst struggling with mental health issues. He's admitted he has a problem, is receiving help for it and is surrounded by people he's comfortable with for the first time in a long time in Bates and Jay.

If he's every going to stick to the straight and narrow, it'll be now. But all we can do is wait and see.

The Bears will go nowhere of importance until Jay Cutler can get more than 1 second in the pocket. That Oline is just terrible.

If he got them to 7-3 taking seven step drops behind them last season, I'm confident he'll do better now that he's taking shorter drops and Martz isn't making the calls.

Still, with that terrible line there is no way Cutler makes it through the whole season, and if you ask me that record last year was due to Forte not Cutler.

I just don't get what people see in Jay Cutler.

The Lions will definitely be the 2nd best team in the NFC North, but the Bears will end the season with MAYBE 1 less win. If Cutler doesn't get injured, Forte doesn't have to carry the team alone, & Brandon Marshall doesn't have a psychotic break.

The Replacement Refs are here to stay for a while it seems & will be around for Week #1 & what not

Believe me, the record had more to do with Cutler than Forte. Without Cutler opposing teams stack the box because they knew the Bears couldn't pass. Without Forte, Cutler's arm keeps teams honest because they know he can stretch the field. Now we've brought in Bush, this is even more true.

I think this season is the first time Cutler's been given any weapons in regards to a receiving corp since he left Denver. He's been killed behind the Bears line and had no-one to throw to since he arrived and yet still managed to lead us to an NFC Championship game.

Hopefully this year'll change some minds about him.

If Matthew Stafford's glass body doesn't decide to shatter, if Suh doesn't stomp on someone and get himself suspended for even longer, if Mikel Leshoure doesn't get caught with more drugs or get injured again. Maybe the Lions'll repeat what they did last season. Maybe.

We can play this game with every team in the league.

The Bengals' offensive line is a complete and utter mess. Dalton is going to be running for his life all season, and you can forget about them having a run game this year.

So as we head into the regular season, is it time for a round of NFL nicknames? I sure hope so, because it's been one drama-filled off-season.

Kevin LOLB
Matt "Franchise Backup" Flynn
Mark "Dead Man Walking" Sanchez
Chad "Butthead" Johnson
David Decastrated
Tim "The Faces of Tebow" Tebow (Seriously... WTF, NFL Network?!)
Dez "Rules" Bryant
Maurice Jones-Screwed
Rob Groin-kowski
Rex "RG 3 INTs" Grossman
Terrell Owing $
Dissed Cooley

Well, when RGIII becomes a bust we'll have to call him Robert Griffin The Turd.

Am I the only one that thinks it's awesome Tannehill doesn't know conferences or divisions?

Matt Moore laughed at him....laughed....

:o Ireland is gonna cut or trade him now.

 but no srsly, he is getting cut or traded. Garrard seems to be coming back and Delvin ain't gonna get cut or anything...soooo...

:yay: come back to the Panthers Moore. Clausen can get cut. Best 3rd string QB eveeeeeeeeeeeeer.

Or maybe Denver will pick him up...they ain't got **** behind Manning.

I think moore could thrive in that mess of QB in Arizona
