IIRC that game was extremely boring and sloppily played by both teams, with a little last minute heroics at the end by Roddy White. Shame the crowd was dead when you went though.

Even still, I've never been to a sporting event where the crowd was that dead. I've heard plenty of stories, from people from Atlanta, as well as people who have been to Atlanta for games, that in general Atlanta just is not a good sports town. Except for maybe the Bulldogs.

I agree with the author disagreeing with Robert Kraft. I think that a team in London is a bad idea.

Super Bowl half time needs a little face melting. Hope VH does it.

We support our Braves and Bulldogs very well. Nobody gives a crap about the Falcons unless they're really good, and no one cares about the Hawks no matter what. Sad but true.

Yea it is, I hate it when sports towns don't support the team.

Only been to one Braves game. Crowd was solid. But then again, baseball just doesn't bring out the excitement that football does.

Turner Field is a nice park tho. No AT&T / Pac Bell / whatever the crap it's called in SF now, but a nice park. As much as I hate the Braves, I really enjoyed that stadium.

Shame that the Hawks don't draw. They can be an exciting team.

You've never been to NY, Boston or Chicago.

No, I have not.

Cities I have been to for sports:

San Francisco - Candlestick, AT&T Park (49ers, Giants)
Oakland - Oakland Coliseum, Oakland Coliseum Arena (A's, Raiders, Warriors)
San Jose - San Jose Arena (Sharks, Warriors)
Sacramento - Arco Arena (Kings)
Nashville - LP Field, Bridgestone Arena (Titans, Predators)
Atlanta - Georgia Dome, Turner Field (Falcons, Braves)
Orlando - Amway Arena (Magic)
Murfreesboro - Floyd Field (Middle Tennessee State Blue Raiders)

The Hawks are like the Kofi Kingston of the NBA. Flashy and exciting, but nobody really cares and its extremely unlikely for them to win the big one. I think if the Hawks could deal Johnson and get some real players they could actually draw in fans.

To keep the spirit of Jagauring alive, I think each fan here should make a YouTube video of their mascot namering.

Dolphining
Falconing
Lioning
Gianting and so on. Awesome?

So the 49ers should start Sourdough Sam'ing?

lol

And lol @ comparing the Hawks to Kofi Kingston. :hehe:

I don't want to see what Packering would look like.

Chiefing sounds like something you don't want your uniform to do to you.

Yeah. The Steelers used to be able to say the same thing.

And then...

Damn, I feel bad for him. :(

Yet holding a Steelers vs. Cardinals Super Bowl XLV ball.

I guess, it would probably be a better picture without a ball representing 2 teams that weren't his team in something suppose to celebrate him and the Cowboys?

I said, celebrating him and the Cowboys.
