I mean were you really that blown away by the Atlantis sequence? I was pretty disappointed.

I hope that they don't have to speak in air bubbles the whole time. That's what Justice League suggested though. It was DEAD silent until Mera created that bubble.

It doesn't matter how Snyder or Whedon depicted Atlantis functioning, Wan will be allowed to do his own thing. JL isn't popular enough to influence future movies, even in the same universe. It'll be like how Jenkins is ignoring Snyder's storyline of Wondy abandoning mankind after WWI.

They also have success of Suicide Squad movie, a reboot would mean losing popular iteration of Harley Quinn.

Suicide Squad 2 is in the same precarious situation as Justice League right now. Just like BVS, Suicide Squad made a lot of money despite very poor reviews. If I'm a WB exec, right now I'm wondering if the same situation we just saw with Justice League (the sequel to a panned-but-successful movie massively underperforming because people felt burned by the first one) won't repeat itself for Suicide Squad 2 or the proposed Harley Quinn/Gotham Sirens spin-offs.

They retconned their entire continuity, including the wildly popular X2. That's how far they were willing to go to wipe the slate clean.

Did they scratch off X1 and 2?

As someone who's not familiar with their source material and just watch it for fun, I just view it as you can scratch off whatever you like and keep whatever you want in your head.

I recognized the retcon for X3 with those 2 characters, but again I didn't dig the movie through excessively.

Flashpoint is the worst idea for a movie ever.. Flashpoint movie will show WW as an antagonist and ruin the character for many people (not just fans) and it shows Aquaman in bad light, to say nothing about horrible death of Shazam and his friends.

Nice way to ruin 3 franchises in One movie, Great.

This makes zero sense. Justice league cartoon had the hero's have different versions of themselves being bad. I didn't see people being confused. Having a bad version of your self isn't that confusing bro.
