i liked the finale, a lot... but the whole like, 3rd act was just weirdly put together, or badly edited, maybe.

the way sam reacted to his dad's 'death' was just poorly done, unless he knows something we don't, which it really didn't seem like that was the case.

I felt exactly the same way. That last act was just awkward from start to finish. I guess it might have to do with the fact that they didn't really know how long the season would be for a long time...

I agree with the last part. It is possible that they had to replace a series ender that reveals everything, with a season ender instead. This is why it felt disconnected.

Yeah, his reaction really wierded me out. I mean, Sock showed more of a reaction than Sam did.

Maybe an internal disconnect borne out by the fact that the guy only might not be his dad, but has been lying to him all these years?

He's also been exposed to a LOT of death lately. That, coupled with the fact that he knows for a definite fact that human death is not the end-all of everything, might just explain his attitude to it.

the last episode was cool, anybody else think Sam's parents are demons.

How about that, Sam's dad is a demon and his mother an angel?

And the devil is trying to corrupt him or something like that.

We don't know that yet. He could be an angel, for all we know.

Or some other kind of immortal. The series probably wouldn't open up to other mythologies, but the geek in me can't help but at least think it. :o

I keep wondering if, Sam is supposed to be the second coming, and the Devil is try to tempt, sorta like that Jesus in the desert thing.:o

I really hope they avoid making Sam the Second Coming or the Anti-Christ, to be honest. There's so much tied to both of those that it would just heap all this unnecessary crap onto the character and limit what the show can do.

That's what I thought as well. Sam knows his dad was hiding something from him, something very important, there was a lot of unresolving feelings there.

Loved Sock and the succubus, especially when he was "high", just awesome! Then trying to get her to kiss Ben, great.

Not to mention likely bring in the annoyances of Fundamentalist Christianism railing against whatever the show might portray. :wow:

There are already Christian groups trying to get it banned, because it apparently glamorises The Devil.

Don't be an ass...don't lump all church going folks in with the fringe groups. :cmad:

I was being facetious. Considering this is exactly how these "fringe groups," who are more mainstream than you think, act towards those that practice Islam.

I don't believe in religion either way, I just thought I'd bring in some consistency into the mix.

But I digress. :o

yeah liked the season finale alot and agree with the things about the 3 act
if his parents are angels or sumthin(his mum knows alot that she aint sayin) lol could just pull a full U-turn and make it out
that Sam's brother is the anti-christ
and thats why he's a reaper to train and crap.....oh think me-inner geek came out abit there : P

was really hoping Sam would just ask
the devil if he was his father at the end aswell
. Oh well.

this show does def deserve a second season and beyond, and i am for one glad it is, been one of the best shows running this yr and abit.
