Reboot Is Back!!

I love reboot !
At first it appears it wasn’t a serious serie,
That it was going to be about 3d videogame animation publicity
Then it took another direction completely
It became a hundred times more interesting

Am I right to say that one of those superhero comic books writer was responsible for that big change?
As I remember it was either Marv wolman or Roy Thomas name that I saw in the credits
But I’m not sure though !
 
Dan Didio and Len Wein are listed as writers for a few episodes on IMDB.

I don't like new writers or artist
They’re the new generation that has been influenced by too many Manga and anime style

And I think that the Manga and anime style have been taking away all those years of great American (or europeen) comic books evolution back to the Stone Age

Because instead of evolving we are regressing because of the successful way of the Manga style to produce cheap and long animation series
I admit that they are bold and they always draw attractive character with big wide eyes to attracted the audience and other stuff like that

But in the long run you'll get fed up just as I did
Because they use the same style whether it’s for x rated adult ,
Kids stuff or even fantasy art painting or newspaper’s publicity call girl
That I once saw in an Asian newspaper for God sake!


Myself I grew up watching great Manga and anime series but for some reason I never took them as serious as Marvel or DC more realistic and 3d style
Or any other magazines such as “heavy metal” which I’ve been buying ever since I was a kid

I really don't remember much of Reboot. Just that a lot of people within the series kept saying "beet root" instead at first. Also, "MEIN DIGITS!"
And Hack and Slash. Mike the TV. The bizarre timeflow within the computer, the Evil Dead game they played once...
 
So did anyone read the pitches? The Last Guardian is my favorite.
The comment thing is weird on that site. :confused:

Except that Buffy the series frequently made reference to the movie in the first few seasons.
 
But the two werent in continuity with each other. It was very very loose continuity just certain aspects and charecters (since Buffy was a senior in the movie and sophmore at the start of the show among other things)
 
Yeah, just basic elements from the movie were kept, like the fact that she got expelled from her school in LA for blowing up the gym. We see Merrick in the series and he looks nothing like Donald Sutherland. A comic called The Origin came out later that was supposed to be the in-continuity retelling of the movie's events--complete with the TV version of Merrick. Whedon has kinda sorta officially endorsed The Origin, but at the very least he assures us that it's much closer to what he intended than the movie was.

Anyway, about the original question, I don't think this new take on ReBoot is supposed to be in continuity with the series. The website says they're starting fresh with a clean slate. Why they still feel the need to call it ReBoot when they clearly don't intend to make it ReBoot is beyond me, but whatever.
 
The Z2H is very screwy. I really hate everyone's attitude there. It's so negative. And all the ReBoot message boards I've been too haven't been too friendly either.:(BTW anyone know where I could get a Megabyte or AndrIA avatar?

Arrival is my favorite for visual style. If they loose the Aliens and interaction with the User, it'd be the best. I hate all the others. :csad:
 
So far the first two sound good but I would probably go with Arrival (with some charecter modifications) and get rid of the whole meeting with the User and Earth getting taken over. Keep it strictly in the computer, we dont need both worlds to meet or know of each other.

The Last Guardian is just..way to soap opra with Dot marrying Megabyte (he can have kids?) and have a child who has two fathers and is now torn between which one to side with.

And The Last User is just something to laugh at.

But ya if we had to get one made, it would be arrival, but make the charecters look more like their original designs just updated more. No need to bring them up to hollywood standards "sex sells" by making Dot sexy and Bob all semi muscular and looking like a surfer. AndrAI was really the only "sexy" reboot charecter. But atleast the creators are taking fans opinions and are probably trying to rework the designs.
 
So the webcomic is up, did anyone check it out yet?

I don't like the format of the comic but everything else is good.
Bob once and for all deletes Megabyte

That was a nice ending though

Megabyte was defeated to easily. Shouldve been a bigger throwndown.
