Reboot Superman with The Legion?

Hell yes! The Legion has a few characters with Superman's powers. Ultra Boy who can use only one at a time but can see through Lead and has no kryptonite weakness. Mon-El who has all superman's powers and has no weakness to kryptonite. Supergirl or in some versions Andromeda who is to Mon-El what Kara is to Superman basically. Then there is Saturn Girl who took down both Ultra Boy and Mon-El with a thought cast. Colossal Boy who grows into a giant and as such his strength grows with him. Back in the silver age there didn't seem to be this preoccupation with keeping Superman the best or special and why should we? The whole point of the Legion was that Superman was among equals who he could learn from and get some true friendship. No matter how much we like Superman and Batman as best friends we all know Batman looks at Clark with worry at times. Heck, just look at Infinite Crisis for the evidence.

I worry that if they did this movie like the TV show they would throw out characters like Ultra Boy and Mon-El to make Superman seem top. The stories would rotate around him when there are far more interesting characters to explore in the Legion itself. I'd rather have Supergirl in it so that she can bring out a story in Brainiac 5.

You saying Superman should not be special?....Also bascially he was weaker then everyone in the Legion or they all were on the same level minus a few being stronger then the other?.....Also you think Batman thinks Clark do not know what he be doing at times?

Something like that could work, and anything delaying the Daily Planet cast is good for me. I'd much rather have them build up to it for the second or maybe even third movie.

As far as being called Superboy, I can't really see any high school teen choosing the name Superboy. Now if he was 12 or 13 obviously he would be called Boy, but a 16 or 17 year old? That being said, I wouldn't care if they did choose to call it Superboy.

It would be more appropriate if he doesn't name himself and he realizes that SuperMAN is a name he has to mature into...

IMO Adam Gregory would make a great Superboy (Clark Kent) in a LOSH movie.

they would probably not want to do superboy in a new film series. would be an interesting thing to try. But we all know how much problems they have for superman right now.

Agreed, it was the best pic of Young Kal-El I could find.

He does become Superboy before Superman in the comics.....Thats like having Bruce Wayne become Batman without all the training.
I dont think he became superboy in the current comics continuity. And even if he did... meh... Its just lame...

Whats lame?....He has super powers he can make it work as Superboy....Get rid of the dog and he is a tennage superh erol ike Spiderman and Spiderman not lame....Every hero had a beginning and orgin.

well technically he is sorta superboy if the secret origins story is indeed going to be the next superman origins to be the basis of the character for the next "X" number of years.

Superboy to me is just as bad as Bruce becoming Batboy before he becomes Batman. I just never liked the concept and i think that in the current continuity he never was Superboy before becoming Superman.
I am just saying that maybe nowadays DC feels the same way about it as me.

Thats different dude....Bruce could not become Batboy cause he had to train all them years to become great to be ready....Clark has powers so he needs no training....Nothing silly about a 16 yr old kid with almost god like powers.

Exactly!

They don't feel the same because Superboy is back in continuity.

Well I feel Superboy should come before Superman....He can fight crime as Superboy in Smallville....Then in Metropolis as Superman.

The notion of Superboy as Superman's beginning is as ridiculous as Spiderboy, Batboy, Ironboy, Flashboy would have been.

If you're saying the name Superboy is cheasy, I agree 100%. But as a character, he's the only one that was born withpowers that you mentioned.

But you do realize that technically Spiderman is spiderboy right? He is in high school!

Technicalities. I simply prefer a 25 year old Clark donning the suit and being Superman.

Their was a Kid Flash though.....how Superboy lame?...He has super powers.

Well to each his own I suppose....Thats also not a bad idea....Is that the age he becomes Superman?...After he gradutes college he works at the Daily Planet right?
