Time for X-Men movies actually based on the comics. I'd love to see a series done like Spider-man, looking like the comics and not being afraid to just be what it is...a comic book movie.

Singer stinks, he doesn't care about fans or books, well these characters were popular for a long time before him and I didn't need his two cents on them.

Time for something better and more entertaining. X-3 felt more like the books without Bryan Stinker, the tone was better but still not good enough.

the first movie should have the original line up, and ofcourse you have to have Wolvie, then they battle Magneto and his Brotherhood, but towards the end of the film they all team up to stop the Sentinals, movie 2 would have them going up against Apocalypse, then 3 would be the Phoenix saga done right.

I'd also say there's no need to crowbar Wolverine into a movie about the original X-Men when maybe the top problem of all 3 movies was the fact that they were Wolverine movies with X-Men as a sideshow.

I would like a somewhat comic book faithful X-Men movie that doesn't have to continue on with the overwhelming level of bull$hit Singer elected to change for no reason. But the Franchise was so financially successful I predict that coulnd't get greenlit for a long time. Hulk is sort of a different animal. One weird movie that was only seen as successful in hindsight after DVD sales.

And although a story about the original X-Men could work and could be interesting, if you're only gonna get one shot at a reboot I'd elect to go with the team lineup during the all time greatest period of the comic book - Cyclops, Jean Grey (as Phoenix), Storm, Wolverine, Nightcrawler, Colossus. Do it in a very indie spirit, unlike the flamboyant, stupid Cerebro-et-all overblownness of Singers movies, and try to get 3 movies out of it. First movies main enemy is Sentinals, end with Jean coming out of the Water as Phoenix. Second movies main enemy is Magneto. Third movies main enemy is Dark Phoenix.

No need for a reboot when the actual franchise still has 9 x-men alive, more the possible return of Cyclops and Xavier. More famous characters like Gambit and Emma with so many possibilities to appear in the next sequel.

So I understand what some fans want, but this saga has a few more movies that can be done.

I am tired of this version... I do think the next step should be a reboot, in a couple of years.
If I had to choose, I would start with the original five: Cyclops, Jean Grey, Iceman, Angel, Beast.
( As crazy as it may sound to some of you, I would not introduce Wolverine until the 2nd movie )

My initial idea was to have the X-Men face the first prototype of Sentinel ( à la Evolution series ) in a maze-like environment controled by Arcade, without the help of Beast. During this time, Professor X would be in Africa with Storm, trying to uncover the reasons behind a series of strange occurences... I am not going to go in any further details, but I liked the idea of having Magneto help the X-Men at the end and temporarily becoming their "leader" via Professor X's demand. This would all lead to a second movie in which the famous Mutant Massacre would be brought up and although Angel would leave the team, Rogue and eventually Gambit would join... with an appearance by Wolverine. This second movie would consist in getting rid of the Sentinel factory, with the help of Magneto and his Brotherhood, but eventually having to face them due to the obivious conflict that afflicts those 2 teams. Finally, the 3rd film would be about Apocalypse's rising... mixed in with his choosing of his five horsemen and of course, during the course of this trilogy, there would be various signs of Mr. Sinister's involvement, which would be revealed in the last movie.

I know this all seems very basic and weird, but I just tried to shorten it into something that is easily readable and understandable. I'll come right out and say it: Trust me, the completed and elaborated version is awesome... I would love to see that on film and hopefully, so would you!

If they were to do one they should start at the beginning...
-original 5 Xavier students graduate, only to learn Magneto who they will face for the first time (only Charles knows him obviously) has taken over genosha, US won't allow a mutant nation so Magneto declares war for freedom
-the media will break the news of mutant existance, cause panic and fear
-this fight will reach New York shores
-the essential lesson will be growing up and taking responsibility
-they become the X-Men at the end of the film, nolonger students
-mild action, more story behind and depth in the characters, such as Scott being an orphan while everyone's parents attend the graduation stuff like that etc...

Is true. None knows what can happen with Storm in X4, but one thing is for sure, she probably will have the biggest role, and I don't see it as a bad thing. I preffer her to Logan.

We'll get Storm one day. With the right actress and a Director who understands the character. It's a pipe dream, but I'll believe it. As long as Halle is Storm, and X-Men is at Fox, this series should RIP.

No kidding. They're the least diverse. Their backgrounds are less interesting than others. They have potentially lesser fantastical power displays. Hell, their introduction was more grounded than the first X-Men movie.

Marvel has never again introduced the X-Men via the original 5... and there's probably a reason for that.


One positive thing they have going for them is that they have received less exposure... but that may also work against them when trying to draw a crowd.

I think if they were to introduce Wolverine in a second film, this would be a great way to tease audiences and get them hyped for it.

So we'll have Halle, Hugh, etc during a long time.

Xmen 4 with Wolverine, Jubilee, Iceman, Rouge, Collosus, Kitty Pryde,Storm, Angel, Beast, Gambit. Proffesor X is still alive so he can still lead them. Maybe have Apocalypse as the main villian with him turning angel into arch angel. Maybe have Cable come back and try to kill apocalypse. There are still a million stories to tell in the xmen world without restarting over.

X3 is definitely the worst Storm, IMO. Her attitude is *****y. Her dialog was whiny. Hey, at least her clothes were hip and stylish.
