Sequels Recasting the X-Men for the MCU

You know who would be a fun Emma frost?

Nicolette Sheridan. Just full on diva. Hard to cast without knowing who is playing Scott though. Although she would totally be a cougar

a 60ish Emma frost ......no lol

Not really who I'd cast for O5 teen X-Men but for a Giant Size adaption/Adult O5

Alex Petyffer - Scott Summers/Cyclops

Riley Keough - Jean Grey/Marvel Girl

Alex Ludwig - Hank Mccoy/Beast

Logan Browning - Ororo Munroe/Storm

Sam Clafin - Warren Worthington/Angel

Paloma Kwiatkowski - Anna Marie/Rouge

Aneurin Barnard- Kurt Wagner/Nightcrawler

I don't know about Riley Keough as Jean. After watching her in The Girlfriend Experience, now it would be hard not to imagine her having paid sex with everyone.

We do that anyways in movies LOL It all depends on how important the trait is for the role. You need a large size man to play Kingpin, I don't care how good actors are if they are not impressive in stature they can't play the Kingpin.

Yes, but I'm talking about being much more specific and looking for actors in the 5'3 -5'5 range. Comic book Wolverine is 5'3, Hugh Jackman is 6'3, and he's beloved in the role despite being a foot taller. So casting someone in the 5'8 -5'10 range is already a huge step towards being more comic accurate.

So, is this happening? I really wanted them to follow-up on Magneto's "learn how to fly" line from X2... I really expected to see Paquin's Rogue take off!!! I guess we can let go now? :/

Is the xmen happening? I'm almost certain it will eventually. Why else would Disney lay down $60 billion for fox?

I just realized that with Captain Marvel coming to the MCU very soon, they could have her cross paths with Rogue and present her comics origin, possibly even a new twist on it. I'm not overly attached to it, but it will soon be an option.

so... Tom Cruise? lol

And last but not least Dustin Clare as Wolverine he's got the early Colin Farrell look to him only more wide and can own the physical aspect very well while still being charismatic.

Hes 5'10! Wolverine is called RUNT for a reason

am I the only one seeing more of a Gambit vibe from him?

He looks a lot like Gambit there visually. That being said, if he got a haircut, I couldn't say the same thing.

Perfect age too.
I still think you need to go a bite older for Logan...

yes, that's the same age Jackman was when he first played the character but, Jackman looked very different at that age then a lot of these 30 something actors do today

even with the beard, Emile looks very young in that picture

I get that Wolverine is support to be ageless but, he was still always portrayed as having a more of a ragged & giddy look (especially if your going for height accuracy)

Alex Petyffer - Scott Summers/Cyclops Sure why not!

Riley Keough - Jean Grey/Marvel Girl i'll buy it!

Alex Ludwig - Hank Mccoy/Beast Superb pick!

Logan Browning - Ororo Munroe/Storm ill act like I didnt see this pick

Sam Clafin - Warren Worthington/Angel Make it happen!

Paloma Kwiatkowski - Anna Marie/Rouge Sure cant see the down side unless they go for a more stronger rouge like in the comics.

Aneurin Barnard- Kurt Wagner/Nightcrawler NICE!

Ahhh you were so close to a really great cast, that's a big no go on the chic to play storm tho.

I'd rather not give Emlie any more work after some of his past actions.

It's kind of hard because you don't want to go too old, like having a forty year old wolverine with a sixteen year old Jean. But he should look weathered.

Alex pettyfer would be such a sexy cyclops

I wouldn't mind dropping Jean from the Many Loves of Wolverine altogether. That wasn't even a thing until the animated series. There should be more to Jean than becoming Phoenix and the men in her life.

to be fair if you go with a 16 y.o Jean, her being with Wolverine (no matter how young of an actor you cast) wont change the fact that he's 100+ y.o. lol

and will be creepy either way
best to just avoid that love triangle story all together if going with a teen cast (which I am not really even that big on, anyway)

Yeah fair. And you're right, we are done with the Jean is Bae stuff. She's such a great character, she deserves a lot better

Jean Grey Emma Stone because she's perfect.

John Krasinski as Cyclops he just has a stoic yet lovable nature we've failed to receive from previous castings he also looks like someone people would call "Slim"

I like both Stone and Krasinski individually, but I would prefer a smaller age difference. At least if we're supposed to buy them as high school sweethearts or each others' first loves.

Oh, I remember having the same thought about Dustin Clare when I saw him on Spartacus. He definitely had badboy charisma and the physicality I'd want from Wolverine. I don't know if he can lose the Aussie accent, though. He tried an American accent in a few episodes of Strike Back and it sounded pretty bad. Although it was a thick Texan accent and that's probably a tough one to pull off.

Yeah, and besides, it's really a Canadian accent he'd need to pull off. :wolverine
