Christopher Young's music was ok... most of it.

But a few parts were horrible, or just out of place.

I wonder if Sam Raimi would consider rescoring, using Danny Elfman, in time for the Theatrical DVD Realease, or at least the 3.1 DVD release.

They could replace maybe 40% of the movie's score, keeping some of the better Young peices, and just replacing some of the worse peices, with Danny Elfman's works.

Maybe even Sony could buy the Symbiote Theme, Sandman Theme, Uncle Ben Theme from Young and let Elfman redo some of those. ;)

Just a possibility.

Because leaving Young's score in there does a disjustice to some of Spider-Man 3.

Well, this could have gone in the thread below this...and also, chris young just re used elfmans work for 80 percent of the new movie. he made 3 new themes..why would sony pay to have elfman (who wont do it anyway) replace 3 pretty good themes?

Hell lucas did it with the ewok tree house dance!!

... maybe just replace the Armored Car Chase music... man, that sounded horrendous!

And put a bit more darker music on the part where he first discovers the symbiote suit on him. (upside down above the city)

i hated the music where black suite spider-man was looking in the glass window, that was dumb sounding

yea, if it's one gripe about this movie i have, it's the score.

i saw it for the second time tonight, and i mean, ****, even the dancing scenes were easier to take in than the score. i really hated the second harry and peter fight score.

Chis Young had some good score bits...but Elfman would be SO much better.

The score was the worst thing about the movie in my opinion. I loved the movie but the score should've been better.

Like I said though, he had his good moments with it.

I can't remember the whole armored car scene music...but I remember the music where Spider-Man is sliding on the car door on the street...that was awesome. Everything after that part in the scene was good because it was Elfman lol.

And when he woke up...that is cool music, but, NOT FOR THAT. This is a darker Spider-Man, that was way too heroic. It's a good theme, just not for him. Not only that, but the music on that scene should've been slower and lower. That theme may have sounded good if it was like a men's choir or something I don't know.

Could the bad/poor film score be why an official film score CD hasn't yet been released for Spider-Man 3?

the symbiote score for the beginning sequence feels like i'm listening to the incredible's theme mashed up with the men in black one...

yuck
