It kinda hinges too close to what happened in Degeneration, but it'd make for a funny/cute little moment...

Good point. Well, if we're looking to wrap up the Claire/Leon/Ada/Sherry stories in the same way RE5 wrapped up Chris and Jill...it could try to go full circle by giving us a launching point similar to RE2. Chris is on a mission for BSAA. Goes MIA. Leon is sent to finish Chris' job, but Claire goes in on her own to save her brother when she learns that there is not a rescue mission planned...they bump into one another. Could be a nice draw back to RE2 and would be a good way to bring things full circle.

Ada would make a kickass main character. She's the right type of morally gray. We don't know exactly where she stands. That'd be different enough from the main 4 for sure.

yeah I agree. In all the games you walk the side of good or whatever you want to call it. Ada would be a mysterious character to play as, however if Capcom wanted to get back to 'survival horror' I doubt Ada would be the one to use as a main character. Seems like her storyline would be more about espionage and stealth type activities

What would you say to having a full-scale war sequence between some military group and zombies? Where a military group was pinned down and fighting off an entire horde of zombies?

Whether that be like Horde Mode from Call of Duty or Gears of War or an actual part of the game, I don't really care either way... I'd just like to see it.

Also a thought: maybe in this next game, Chris will have higher power in the B.S.A.A., and will begin putting together his own team, much like Resident Evil 1?

That would be nice. Though after that I'm not sure I'd want anymore Resident Evil games. They'd really have a tough sell to me with a new set of characters once they wrap up their loose ends with Leon/Claire/Ada/Sherry.

I just love the ones we have right now too much. Some of my favorite video game characters ever.

I was a bit sad that Hunk did not make mercenary mode.

Still, I imagine we're going to see some downloadable characters for mercenary mode and online play (once they launch it)...I'd be very suprised if not only Hunk, but also Leon and Ada were not amongst the first batch of those.

I sorta agree with this. Even though I ran out of ammo consistently, I found it was easy to survive till you got more.

I personally am going to vote that Barry is the next protagonist (he definitely deserves a game), either with an all-new character, or the involvement of Leon (just like in Gaiden) or Ada.

If they take it back to set camera angles, limited health and ammo, and actual horror like that article implies, I will buy the collectors edition day one and take a week off of work to do nothing but play it.

That's just going back to the first 3 games. That's not gonna work. That's a half assed ''reboot" if that's what they are gonna do.

I really don't think they are going back to fixed camera angles. That'd grant as much people being pissed off in reviews as ''YOU STILL CAN'T WALK WHILE YOU SHOOT!".

Neither would bother me much, but I just don't see them doing that. I can see them going back to limited ammo and health and less action, more atmosphere and horror, but definitely not going back to the fixed camera angles.

You've got a point there. Idk, I'd just like to see some other characters meet, that haven't yet (correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe the Resident Evil: Gaiden incident is canon, and I don't believe Barry and Ada have ever met).

In my opinion, Barry would work best with a new protagonist. I'd just like to see the involvement of other past protagonists as well.

I think Barry and Rebecca would have an interesting dynamic together. I can see him being the overprotective experienced dad to her less experienced daughter type.

I like to think Billy was the first main character casualty. (Not that I don't like him.) I just think he died in the Raccoon City incident at some point.
