Resident Evil CGI movie in the works

Call me when Cloud gets nominated for Best Actor.

He has, by fans. Advent Children doesn't need an "Oscar" to prove it was a decent video game adaption , thank you very much. You know what make CGI films look bad, American CGI films. The Japanese will once again prove that they dominate with CGI films with Resident Evil: Degeneration. (Plus, Japanese animation looks way better than American's). We get CGI films like Shrek, Finding Nemo, and Hoodwinked. That's why people don't take CGI films seriously. At least Zemeckis is trying. Oneday CGI, I believe, CGI films are going to dominate the film market because you could do amazing things with it. Just watch various Final Fantasy games cutscenes to see what I'm talking about. But with all these kiddy CGI films, it's not going to be anytime soon. But I'm glad Capcom is cleaning up Screen Gem's mess. Creating a real Resident Evil movie.

Leon basically became my favorite character after RE. And yet only the girls can still do lockpicks.

I like Leon because he's so girly looking that you would never expect him to be a badass, but he is. You would expect him to cry and sing songs about how his girlfriend dumped him rather than blowing the heads of zombies with a shotgun, but that is, in fact, what he does. It just goes to show you that you should never judge a book by it's cover.... unless said cover is that of a flesh eating zombie, in which case..... OH IT'S ON!

There's finally a new Trailer out. It's no Advent Children, but the CGI looks ok. I'm just glad we get to see some old faces and don't have to enure that Alice character anymore, who's been forced down our throats the last 3 Movies.

looks pretty cool, hope they give up on a possible fourth live action.

The in-game visuals of Resident Evil 5 look better then the CGI in this movie.

Interesting trailer. Looks like the G-Virus is featured in this game.

The animation isnt as good as Advent Children, but its great to see Claire Redfield and Leon back, both great characters in Resident Evil 2, which was the last one in the series i bothered with and IMO, the best one.

How would you know if you've only played two of the games? That is like only eating two foods, lets say hot dogs and hamburgers for your whole life then declaring hamburgers the best food on Earth.

Also, I don't mind that the animation isn't as good as AC, as long as the story line is better because Advent Children was complete, incoherrant crap.

All I know is that RE4 takes places six years after RE2, so...if the movie takes places 7 years after the original Raccoon City incident..

Looks good, gonna have to check it out.:up:

I was judging it on reviews of the other movies, and the fact that I played RE3 but give up after about an hour as I didnt find it any good.

AC was a bit of a mess, but what do you expect from a sequel to a game that took 70 hours to complete.

With that kind of cgi and dialogue, i wish they made a movie based on the resident evil remake for gamecube instead.

that would become my favorite movie :(

Yeah. Pretty standard RE stuff there. Looks like it'd just be a regular old cinematic pause in between game play in the games.

voice acting is AWFUL...but it looks like fun. nothing to win any awards over.

its basically something for the fans. I have no complaints other than the voice acting.
