Did you get the 2nd Spec Ops Mission pack yet? I played all 4 missions now and I really have to say, they are more fun to play than the USS Missions. Probably because you're playing the good guys, you follow roughly the same path as the heroes of the franchise and cross paths with Nemesis and Birkin, as you try to help out Jill, Carlos, Claire and Sherry.
The 4th and last Mission released so far, is easily my favorite in the entire game. There's a segment in the game, where everything is pitch black and you only can rely on flares as a light source, that throw just enough light to see a few meters. But it's constantly flickering and you just see dozens of Zombies, walking out of the dark toward you.
