Horror Resident Evil Reboot

Great news and hopefully that means we will see a trailer by April or May. I really hope this doesn't get the same treatment as the Mortal Kombat reboot where we have to wait almost two months before the movie comes out to see any actual footage.

In general, I hope by spring studios will have the courage to start promoting theatrical releases again. I'm getting really tired of them focusing only on streaming stuff.

Can't wait for this but had one question? Was that live-action series for Netflix still happening?

Netflix announced it last August. There's no reason to suspect it's not happening since that time. So as of now, THE WESKER TWINS CHRONICLES is still happening.

God damn you, i almost had forgotten completely about this and you had to bring it back...damn you. XD
I still cant believe someone approved the idea.

I remember being very excited for the Resident Evil movie back in the dark ages of 2002. We hadn’t had a mainstream zombie movie since maybe 1985 with Day of the Dead and I had read about George A. Romero’s crack at it and my hype had been at an all time high. A “big” budget zombie horror film.

Then the trailer hit...

And my hype died. The film didn’t fare any better and each one just killed any interest in this series at all.

Of course my appetite got whet with some other good zombie films in the meantime with the Dawn of the Dead remake, Shaun of the Dead, the early seasons of Walking Dead, hell even World War Z.

But there’s something about Resident Evil and the whole haunted mansion aesthetic with zombies that still hasn’t been tapped since the early Romero movies.

These images and the feel of the whole project has me as excited as I was pre-that first Resident Evil trailer.

Fingers crossed.

I thought the first Resident Evil was a decent zombie movie. Not necessarily a good Resident Evil movie, but they did start going downhill not too long after that. By the 3rd or 4th, that was it.

Looking forward to this one though.

Wonder when we'll get a trailer. Maybe with A Quiet Place II.

The first Resident Evil movie is decent and is the closest one to the games. I can still watch that and get some enjoyment out of it. The 10 or so that came after are garbage though

I love the first RE movie. And none of the sequels. It's also the last decent movie by Paul W.S. Anderson.

Marvel vs Resident Evil?

I think Sony should move. Monster Hunter was already a boX office disappointment.

The first was bad but I enjoyed it in a schlocky way. I'd like to watch the rest but they're not available on streaming.

I enjoy the original, Extinction and Afterlife.

I'd never pretend any of them are great movies though. 1, at best, is approaching good.

What kind of title is "Welcome to Racoon City"? Did the marketing guys run that back more than once? Very odd.

I read all those books back in the day. In fact I still have them in a box somewhere. Thought about re-reading them but assumed they would not age well.
