Unless its someone like Matt Reeves I doubt I'll be able to ever trust what any director says ever again because what Roberts is saying and what we are seeing feel like two completely different things.

At the end of the day its cool that the guy might be passionate about the property, but Sony is showing so much of a lack of confidence in this that its not even funny, especially when it comes to the budget.

And hell, Birkin doesn't look anything like himself either. So, not just two characters who look nothing like their source material iterations. Four lol.

I think both RE and Uncharted movies do the same thing. They cram several games into a single movie, bring actors who look nothing like in the source that they adapt and hope for the best. The only difference - one has budget and the other doesn't.

And both are under Sony Pictures.

Ugh like it's so ridiculous they're forcing RE1 and 2 in this amalgamation that looks so cheap. If Birkin is here then I'm expecting Mr. X and god knows how bad he'll look here.

While I haven't followed it too closely, it still boggles my mind that they would *not* cast Neal McDonough as Albert Wesker. . .

They probably couldn't afford him and he's a little old for the role. Isn't Wesker like in his mid-30's?

I still can't get over how cheap this looks. Chris's vest looks like it came straight out of Party city, it doesn't even fit the actor properly.

You mean crimson heads? With how cheap this movie looks -and the possibility of absence of tyrants- I think not having them is the more probable thing, and possibly for the best.

"Get out of this town!" sounded so cringe. It doesn't sound like something Claire would ever say.

This was more like a teaser trailer. So why do they release the teaser trailer second and basically a more theatrical trailer first and so late?

At least there was no awful music cues this time.

My expectations for this went out the window a long time ago and that trailer didn't do much to change my mind either, so just let it come out and be gone as quickly as possible so we can all move on.

Granted there's always a chance it could surprise us, but I'm not betting on it and at this point its honestly looking like we are going to have to wait another 5 to 10 years to actually get a good adaptation of this property if Sony and the writers from the past movies aren't involved of course.

Well no I'm aware of the crimson heads. I was referring to the very first regular zombie encountered in the mansion. It looks like it's moving very fast, but I guess it could also just be the edit making it seem that way.

And thanks. I like the '68 filmation cartoons. Had a few of them on VHS when I was a kid.
