No, this thread simply turned into about how Gears of War LOOKS BETTER. I don't recall saying "RESISTANCE SUCKS" or anything like that.

Game looks solid man. Very nice. You can obviously tell the actual gameplay videos versus the rendered ones but still, the gameplay looks good. The clip of him behind the car shooting the guy with the rocket launcher was pretty damn cool. For sure looks like a game in need of surround sound.

Still not enough to make me cough up money for the 360 yet.

One thing about games, to me anyway, is that if I had to choose between a game that looked like q 10 but played like a 7, or a game that looked like a 7 and played like a 10 I would choose the latter.

Now I am not ayin that reistance looks like a 7 as I think it looks great. A very different style than gears for sure, gritty more realistic color pattern etc etc (now dont get pissy that is just my opinion off what few pics I have seen), however when choosing between these games after they come out, i would take the one that plays the best over the one that looks the prettiest.

Just looks at the differences. There's signicantly more detail in the Gears of War character model than Resistance's. The superior definition part is also obvious considering you can even make out the fine lines and even dents in Santiago's armor, while the uniform of the Resistance soldier is hardly impressive, even according to current PC standards. And if you look closely at the weapons in both pictures, you'll see that the textures on the weapon in Resistance have a slight washed-out and artificial look when compared to Gears of Wars'.

There is ample lighting in both pictures, yet it is Gears of War that shines more.

But knowing you, you'll most probably dismiss it as "subjective" and "opinion" and retort with even more baseless accusations and juvenile insults.

you dropped civility along time ago.
prove the texture quality.
prove that you've got a good measure of it.
or admit you can't

you still don't understanding how a lighting model effects the visable detail still it seems. the resistance pic is a massive close up aswell so they are incomparible detail wise for that reason. it shows the wrinkles on the guys forehead in as much detail as you'd see at that distance anyway.
