Ratchet and Clank Going Commando = Best Game on PS2 IMO. I loved God of War, but RCGC was perfection.

I always wanted to play those games, but Zenien wouldn't let me.
She said she'd send me a flesh-eating bacteria bomb.

Well nothing was stoping you... aside from the flesh eating bacteria bomb. :o

I wouldn't trade God of War for Halo or Halo 2. Sure X Box has the better FPS - but better games? PS2.

Kotor > GoW
Jade Empire > GoW
Fable > Gow
Riddick > Gow
Ninja Gaiden > Gow
Halo & Halo 2 > Gow

And.. DMC3 > GoW

Opinions are a beautiful thing.

And I quote "..better games? PS2."

I'm only posting in the same form as him, so if you have anything worthwile to add, be my guest.

Jesus Christ

Ok, so the Ps3 (and its magic processors) gives the Insomniac team the "really new, unparalleled ability to create an immersive world" that allows them to:

"Have planes flying overhead.
Pigeons roosting on things.
Rats running around.
Smoke coming out of vents.
Things that explode AND leave their pieces around.

Very interesting things that on most mutiplayer games, you WON'T see."

Yeah, that's cool....except we've seen those in pretty much every FPS game from both last and this generation.

Watch the whole interview for a good laugh (in last generation you could throw 4 balls with the "sticky zapper"....now you can throw 32!)

Any interest I had in this game has vanished because of the either arrogance or cluelessness of the developer team :down

Give me a break. :whatever: You can make an argument about Halo and Kotor, but Ninja Gaiden and Riddick (while excellent games) are not in the same catogory as GoW. Fable and Jade Empire were huge letdowns period.

Shut your mouth, Ted Price is a God :cmad: :oldrazz:

I'm not trying to knock Insomniac.
There's just something odd about the way they're talking about what the ps3 can do for their game.

Riddick was unbelievable, way better then GoW. And Ninja Gaiden is leaps and bounds ahead of GoW. Jade Empire is like Kotor, which is way ahead of GoW. And Fable is massively underrated.

That's a pretty pathetic reason to lose interest in a game. Seriously wtf is up with people who actually pay attention to the hubris where VIDEO GAMES are concerned. So his examples were bad, whatever.

Better hurry not having any more interest in Itigaki games because he says the exact same stuff and worse.

but you're not going to lose interest in his 360 games, now are you? :o

No, Zenien....because his next game is DoA Extreme Volleyball 2

But come on, Z....surely you don't like to be feed those obvious lies (or half-truths, if you want) about a game, do you?

And yeah, who looks at hubris? That's totally not the point.

They're talking like THEY were to first to implement all those silly, already done features in a FPS.

"We have a new unparralelled ability to create this immersive world." We as in them, themselves, they, in their experience. There's nothing in that statement saying they're the first to do it in FPS, they have a new unparalleled ability to create immersive worlds, compared to say what they've worked on before. Ability, nothing else.

In most multiplayer games you don't see things like planes flying overhead and so on. The only other one I can think of is Halo 2. Oh right, debris disapears in Halo 2. How is that statement a falacy. Yeah the other parts are crap (smoke coming out of vents) so what? There's nothing 'feeding' half truths by filtering the stuff across the board. Losing interest in a game because you dislike examples they may have used is pretty bad.

The developer of Okami said he things that it's the most beautfiul game ever made, omg no, I'm not interested in the game anymore.

They aren't talking like they were the first to implement that stuff (at least imo), if they give that impression that's because of what you're percieving. Look at what they said in that interview.

1.- Okami is clearly a MUCH better game than Resistance, genres be damned...so I doubt an interview with the developers (Clover = Dead ROFL :() would make me lose interest in it

2.- Yeah, I did see the interview, and well....we won't agree in this, obviously, but IMO those guys knew damn well what they were trying to say (Resistance does things that no other FPS has done before) :o

Zenien Zenien, bo Zenien banana-bana bo-Zenien fe fi bo-Zenien...Zenien!

So your arguement stands that in not supporting Half truths you must lose interest in a game entirely instead of filtering out all half truths from all sources and seeing products for what theya re.

You're taking things further than they actually are :(

Those guys are saying things about their game that are so obviously not true + I really liked the early Resistance videos but the new ones look so generotronic = Gammy not interested.

I'm only talking about Resistance and that silly interview, not other games

You're logic prior to saying "The new stuff looks generic" was based soley on the fact that you didn't like their precieved arrogance. Your entire justification for losing interest was:

Any interest I had in this game has vanished because of the either arrogance or cluelessness of the developer team

Arrogance or cluelessness are not exclusive traits, thus your response to those traits ould apply to other similar situations. And their arrogance being a component still makes my point relevant.

You make things way too complicated

THAT'S your tactic, I see it now! You confuse your opponent!

Zenien, it's simple, woman...THESE are the developers I have a problem with, because of the things THEY said about THIS game...

Why do you want me to apply that logic to a different game(s) where I'm clearly talking about Resistance? I judge things how I see them on an individual basis, not as a group :(

If the idiots at Bungie say Halo 3 invented the FPS but they decided to wait 20 years, you can be sure I'll damn them to hell, see what I'm saying?

You make my head hurt :(

So you just agreed with my point about why I encluded the 'other developers' in my arguement. :o

Why do you want me to apply that logic to a different game(s) where I'm clearly talking about Resistance? I judge things how I see them on an individual basis, not as a group

Translation, devs say something stupid, I no likey. :p

Which is like, totally fine, but I disagree with the losing interest part of how you react to it. I don't really care waht the devs say, at the end of the day I only look at the product they've released. They can say a stupid thing and I will think it's stupid, but thta's pretty much then end of it. :o

Jade Empire is like KOTOR, except without the fun and brilliance.

Riddick and Ninja Gaiden were again, great games - GoW was an unbelivable game.

I truly enjoyed Fable. However, in the end it wasn't nearly as good as it was hyped up to be.
