Riots in Missouri - Part 1

The worst part (well... the second worst part) about this is that, if George Zimmerman was any indication, you just know that Darren Wilson is going to spend the next several months acting like the most untouchable motherf***er to ever walk the planet.

Just as I dreaded... Congrats, Missouri on becoming This Year's Florida

I could have told this would happen In August.I saw all this coming.

The prosecutor is known to be bias for police since his father was a cop and killed.

And no federal charges will be filed eather.

Dr. Drew needs to get his facts straight...
I believe his reference was to the percentage being lower there. Not sure. I don't watch his show all that often. He could definitely be wrong.

I can not understand how could anyone side with these protestors? UGH!!!!! Long night for America!!!

I've steered clear of this thread for months. The only thing I'll say is no doubt Michael Brown was doing something he shouldn't have been (anyone who denies that is delusional), but why was lethal force used instead of a taser-gun? Don't most police have tasers or less lethal options exactly for these sort of situations?

This is how I feel as well. Yes, it's dumb to mouth off and/or assault a cop, if that actually happened. You're bringing a whole world of bad news down on yourself.

But it should send a shiver up the spine of every American to know that, as long as there is any slight indication of a struggle, a cop can kill an unarmed citizen. Or a citizen can kill another unarmed citizen. Once you cross some vague line of "aggressiveness," you can be killed with impunity.

What is also frustrating about this is how police officers - whom we train and trust and pay to be strong, both physically and emotionally - suddenly become helpless children when confronted with unarmed black youths. The kid just had to die, they say. The officer feared for his life, they say. It reeks of bull----.

No, don't mess with cops. But damn it, do all these people need to die?

As long as they aren't doing something stupid like using it as an excuse to damage thing or loot stores, I don't see why they shouldn't have the right to protest.

But actually, THEY DO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I assume the code of conduct to anyone that owns a gun is to not shoot if the other guy is unarmed. But apparently everybody is concealing in the minds of these people.

Somehow I doubt the protesters have any real interest in justice.

And here we go again with the cops and tear gas. It may as well be ****ing 1960s again.

I don't judge the actions of the majority on the actions of a few idiots

I am not judging everyone, that is NOT my point.

My point was, AS A WHOLE, the whole protest did NOT succeed at being peaceful, period.

I don't think it goes 100% one way or the other. Some are there to make their voice heard, and some are there looking for an opportunity to throw **** through windows.

Misinformation!

Protesters, once again, instigated it FIRST!

All of your posts read like someone's angry grandma on Facebook.

Not everyone protesting is being violent/destructive. In fact, the majority are probably not. The people breaking stuff an flipping cars are in the wrong, but when you say "the protesters" like they are all one and the same, you lose all credibility.

Store fronts are being busted up and vandalized... I hope that Mexican Grill didn't suffer much...:csad:
