Well it is the same thing. Chinese/Korean/Japanese/Black/Mexicanish, it makes no difference to me, you're still inferior.

So IGN and Gamespot have posted their GOTY awards, along with all the other platform and achievement awards. Gamespot is doing it a little different by having people vote for each award. Some of the games that Gamespot put on for the poll of GOTY is laughable though. There is no PS3 exclusive game in the GOTY voting. The only Sony exclusive on the list is God of War 2, which isn't doing so well in the voting. Uncharted is not on the list and neither is Mass Effect, which I guess is understandable to them since they were rated a 8.5 and 8.0. Forza 2 made it on the list. For game of the year. Mercy.
There were other things like Mass Effect being an example of a God of War 2 button masher type game and as having a lame disappointing ending. Okay...
IGN has yet to release its overall GOTY but for the 360 it was CoD4 and PS3 was Uncharted. I almost couldn't look when I clicked on IGN's pick for 360 FPS of the year, but thankfully it was CoD4.

BioShock and Mass Effect are easily the best games of 2007 and worthiest titles for GOTY.
They are followed by Assassin's Creed and COD4.
I chose BioShock but ME deserves the prize and IMO, GOTY 2007 should be a tie between Bio and ME.

Gamespot's catagories are a joke. You can't even nominate Uncharted for best graphics... when it has the best graphics. That, and Nathan Drake isn't up on the best characters list, with the frickin' cast of Team Fortress 2 making it there. And Ratchet and Clank not up for Funniest Game? What's with that?
Tomb Raider: Anniversary up for best action adventure, but not Uncharted? Gimme a break. LOL, not even there for best PS3 game, or Ratchet. Warhawk is the only exclusive game you can even vote for.

Microsoft money hats, do you wonder why the most recent Video Game Awards only had Xbox 360 exclusives as votable for Game of the Year (well the only non exclusive was orange box, a timed exclusive)? Why Mario Galaxy wasn't on that list and only listed under 'best' action game'.

GameSpot's GOTY awards are indeed stupid. Mass Effect is not nominated for 360 GOTY and worse, in PS3's GOTYs, Uncharted and R&C are nowhere to be found.
IGN is also crazy. They gave award of best Wii adventure to Metroid Prime 3 and the best FPS to Medal of Honor: Heroes 2!!

What FPS does teh Wii have? I think MoH got the award based on lack of good competition
I find it hard to beleive in any credibility Gamespot has after the recent Eidos/Kane & Lynch debacle. Its obvious that money influences their opinions
