The Uncanny Valley. It's what makes things like Beowulf looking weird. Basically, despite the amount of realistic textures it can reproduce, CGI is still incapable of mimicking life, which is for the best.

Even though Sony has done some good work in that 'Green Lantern' footage, it's still..cartoony.

It does look impressive. You can tell it's CGI, which is good, because I want to see this.

It looks more like an early ancestor to human than the real deal
