If fantastic four works then his time as script doctor on FC and writer on DOFP working with bryan Singer taught him some things.

The one thing I can recall Kinberg and Penn saying that ended up being patently false by the time the film came out was that Colossus would have a major one on one battle/action sequence. And Colossus was going to slug it out with Juggernaut, until it was cut from the movie. After the interviews in question.

Yeah it may sound lame to some, but I wanted this more then anything in this film. This has me incredibly excited. I absolutely adore Rose Byrne. FC is my favorite X-Men film, and she is a big part of that. To see her and McAvoy together again? So awesome.

I don't think it counts as a lie when he told the truth at the time it was still part of the film during production.

Later on it was cut. I don't see the point in retroactively calling him a liar. I seriously doubt he had the clout to decide whether or not the budget could be increased to keep a sequence like that in the film back then.

Interesting. I like Rose Byrne but to be honest I thought that Moira was basically a plot device in FC rather than an actual character. Her actions helped move the plot along but it's not like her character was explored in any significant way. As for her relationship with Charles being "rich"... well it needs to be in Apocalypse to deserve this description, because it was hardly rich in FC. I don't know how many scenes they can realistically devote to their relationship with everything else going on in Apocalypse.

And I had to giggle at Kinberg referring to the four FC characters as "young" when they're all thoroughly middle-aged in Apocalypse.

After the Fantastic Four trailer, I wonder if Fox might promote XA the same way. Here is what Kinberg said about FF trailer.

"We took our time with that trailer. What we were trying to tell people was: Here’s the tone of the movie. My favorite trailers are the ones who set the world, the tone, the voice of the movie, without telling you too much about the story. It’s totally different from what the previous movies had done, and it’s much more akin to what the Ultimate Fantastic Four series did."

I think he was refering to the previous X-Men movies, since he wasn't envolved with the previous FF franchise.

Yeah, I thinks its unlikely, but I really like what he said about trailers. I really feel like some trailers give too much away.
