Apocalypse Rose Byrne is BACK as Moira MacTaggert

Yeah, to people on the internet (which I doubt that they're all that concerned about). NO ONE that I've talked to otherwise has brought this "problem" up. As to why they give dates, because they wanted to use the Cuban Missile Crisis in FC (which was in 63), The Paris Peace Accords in DOFP (which was in 73), and I presume some other big historical even that happened in 83.

You dont jump ten years later for every new film and not expect people to wonder why they dont age that much... unless they are Wolverine. I am excluding Mystique of course.

Check Out High-Resolution ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ Photos

In Moira's office, there is a framed photo of her with a boy, and there is another one of a teenage boy (or possibly a young man who is around 18-20 years old). I assume that it's her son (or maybe she has two sons), and I can't help but wonder who the father (or fathers, if we have a scenario where the two boys are half-brothers) is. Presumably she got married at some point after the Cuban Missile Crisis, but there is a deleted scene on the XMFC Blu-Ray which strongly implied that Moira and Charles fooled around after they finished drinking champagne. Who do you think the boy(s) is, and who is his father?

I don't reckon she needed to wait for Charles. I reckon she met someone nicer with better hair and lived happily ever after.

I love rose Byrne, I think she's going to be amazing again in this

If we were to go with the comics, her son would be Proteus not Legion.

Yeah I was thinking Proteus. I wonder if Moira already went to Muir Island?

Since its a picture in the background its probably best not to read to much into it like the pictures were put there as a set up for something.

if she tells charles she has a son in the movie then that may be something of a set up but if not then its not worth reading to much into

They probably aren't planning on using Legion, since they're planning a TV series based on him at the moment.

Singer has talked about loving Proteus as a villain, though. He wanted to use him in X2 at one point.

Would love to see Proteus at some point.

He'd be ideal for the upcoming franchise. Young Scott, Jean, Storm, etc and Proteus? Yes, please.

Yeah, Moira looked great in the trailer. I'm really glad they brought Rose Byrne back, her and Xavier had good chemistry in First Class, and shes just a generally great actress.

Seems like she has a decent-sized part as well, shes apparently going into battle on the Blackbird with the team. And that was her climbing through rubble in that one shot, right?

I think Moira will have a big hand in putting Apocalypse "back to sleep" so to speak, or something.

That shot of her climbing through the rubble felt and looked ver Tomb Raider game reboot to me. I loved it.

Likewise. I wonder what she's been through these past 20 years since First Class? I have a feeling that she's the lead or in charge of the CIA's mutant division since the other guy was killed in First Class. So I was right when I predicted she'll be the one to discover/research Apocalypse....

No chance he will just be put back to sleep.

Singer will destroy alot of the world and its possible some will die because of it so no i am pretty confident they wont give him a glass of milk and tell him to go back to bed ;)

You know what I mean. :oldrazz:

I was doing a rewatch of the whole X-Men film series over the last few days, and finished today, where I watched the last three movies. Revisiting First Class for the first time in a while made me remember that Byrne was a really great part of that ensemble, and I'm glad they're bringing her back for Apocalypse.
