Rumored Marvel Reboot: Discussion

I've been reading a lot of comments around the web to see how people are feeling about a possible reboot. The majority of the comments make no sense justifying the reason for a reboot. It's a lot of "yeah, they should def reboot but then stop with so many events" or "reboot and do less titles".

You can accomplish those without a reboot....

A reboot could help them give the comic universe a similar status quo to the movies, which would make their multimedia franchise more easily accessible, someone who watches the movie would then be able to pick a comic where it almost feels like the plot is continuing from the film universe, even though it's still 616.

Obvious problem in that is that old time readers are pretty much given a middle finger, so that the comics adapt themselves for the movies, instead of it going the other way around.

i blame the fans mostly. People complain and complain but still buy EVERYTHING! If you feel a certain way about it, STOP BUYING THE COMICS AND PUTTING MARVEL ONTOP EACH AND ALMOST EVERY MONTH!

i made my decision and im sticking to my guns, for now.

I think it's safe to say that Ultimate Marvel will end when this is done, to be honest, i wish they had done that last year with Cataclysm, the idea that this year the big event could be 616 vs Ultimate Marvel Universe sounded promising.

also marvel makes it clean they are constantly re numbering series for the sole fact that more people buy #1 issues. Because they catch the people that feel like it may be a good start point. But most issue 1's are really not issue 1's, they are more like issue 53 in content, with a 1 on the cover.

They end up confusing people more than they do hook them. Books come and go because of that.

but marvel doesnt care about what anyone thinks.
