i never saw the problem with the white gloves myself, but if he black ones, i'm not gonna complain. They just have to keep the same (green toro, black legs and arm, white Lantern logo) motif and not make it something it's not.

totally i hope they adapt the suit more faithfully like spider-man movie suit. It keeps the classic look and feel of the character. Well also making some small modifications that make the suit pop a bit. I hope they dont make a mess out of his costume like singer and his costume designers did with superman suit in SR.

Technically it was Abin Sur's suit first, and the S:TAS's bizarre Hal/Kyle amalgams next.
It 's really just the DC Animated Universe's standard GL uniform.

Whether the movie borrows from the Animated Series version, or the First Flight version, Mortal Combat, etc, is fine, as well as putting their own spin on it, they're pretty much all really derivative of the classic Corps Uniform Abin Sur passed to Hal Jordan, so it's all good.
The only real departure would be - obviously if they used Alan Scott's uniform, or Kyle's original 90s uniform, and I really doubt they'll be referencing either of those.

Agreed. I think it'd be the ideal suit for a live action GL, not to mention I can see Reynolds wearing that type of suit on screen. The FF suit is definitely my fave.

YEa i wouldnt be against the FF suit, i just dont want to see a full on amor looking outfit. It should be more styled like the spider-man movie suits, with say the green parts or the black parts have a more scuplted look on them and all that.

Yeah I agree. I think they should be a mix of both some sort of armor material and a FF or SM kind of suit. Make it something of it's own.

Oh and I read on the grape vine that Reynolds was talked about as playing Captain Marvel before he got the GL gig.

I know i want to see a good looking costume that looks great on screen and on the actor's body. Personally i hope GL ends up looking more like spider-man movie costume way, meaning they faithfully translated the source material look well still adding some modern differences like the raised webbing, the brick pattern on the suit, and the different look of spider on back. I just dont want to see any random change for no real good reason. I dont see why either something of the classic look or even lets say the first flight suit cant be done well on screen.

I'm getting scared for this movie. Thor just added 3 new members to the cast, and all we have is Ryan Reynolds and a couple of rumors...
